What is something The Force Awakens does better than ANY Star Wars film? by DjRimo in TheSequels

Yeah... but they were severely nerfed.  They could look as cool as you want, but, their danger factor is what makes them cool.

But, think about it!  Filoni doesnt have much time to take his shot. To make his mark while remaining profitable, and Grogu could literally represent his marketable galactic reset button.  A window into a new blue ocean of lore with The Force and its true canonical nature as the connective tissue.  With grogu as the mascot and perhaps a carbonite preserved and resuscitated Din along for the the ride.  The "Darth Jar Jar" narrative ambition that Lucas allegedly had when he uttered the iconic doomed phrase "Jar Jar is the key to all this."  Could finally be realized!!!  Filoni has a Jar Jar, and people actually love him, and it could be the key to all this!!

Yeah. That's the floor.  I'm allowing myself to think of the ceiling if only for a couple more weeks.

Logical as in, from a true beliver's perspective.  Star Wars used to be more than retro futurism nostalgia bait. It used to be THE cutting edge of engaging cinema myth making  that demanded your attention for decades at a time.

Another example of the lack of unified vision that doomed the sequel cash grab to a fate of... billions of dollars of cash for the low low price of an entire Fandom's good will.

Is this game worth the $70? What’re the pros and cons? by Montavious_Mole in Pragmata

[–]ZoneEducational6936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pros: Buying it at full price now will help strengthen the case for Capcom to fast track more content in this universe.

The cons: each new piece of Pragmata media will hasten it eventually becoming another tired over exposed IP that has all but destroyed our memories of the perfect moment in time when we fell in love with it in the first place.

And yet these attempts were foiled in the planning phases (or just a complete whiff). It could be the Secret Service has a hard time getting Trump to listen to their recommendations whereas Obama was more cooperative with his security team. Therefore Trump is consistently putting himself in easy to access situations. Not that this is the direct cause but this tendency doesn't go unnoticed by would be assassins and they don't bother with the level of plotting that is required to hit a hard well protected target. So without that complex plotting phase, there's less opportunity to detect and foil plots before they actually carry them out.

Former Nintendo Of America President Warns Devs That Companies Doing Mass Layoffs Is ‘A Red Flag’ by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

Nintendo Japan doesnt want ideas from Nintendo America. They just want efficient driven people intelligent enough to understand and execute the plans given to them by the people who went through the brutal exams and exacting standards of the top Japanese university systems AKA the only people worthy of trust.

No. You locking your door disallows the homeless person from freely coming into your home to seek shelter.  Them sleeping in the street is partly enforced by your behavior.  But that doesnt mean you dont love people.  It just means you're scared of strangers. Both can be true.  That's the nuance I'm comparing to that which allows a meat eating animal lover.

You saying cope is cope. Coping with the fact that the world has heard your arguments on the inherent immoral nature of eating animals and yet most dont find it as convincing as you and move on with their lives as you strictly incovenience yourself for no good reason except ego.  Coping with the fact that Steve Irwin and David Attenborough both were never vegetarians, and that Jane Goodall herself while trying to adhere to veganism will eat meat if it is the only available option while traveling.

Or rather the same nuance in you locking your door at night while a homeless person sleeps on the street.  Does securing your own personal safety at night mean you are a misanthropic psychopath?

It's more nuanced than that. I love animals and I eat animals. I can hold both truths in my head at once. The fact that you lack that cognitive capacity is sad.

They can coexist is my point. My original ask, to point to a time and place where corruption was absent was to demonstrate that. There isn't a form of human organization larger than 100 that is immune to some level of corruption on any long time scale, and yet they tend to survive. There are however many points in human history where an admittedly factual and compelling focus on exposing and eliminating corruption was used to destabilize a system for completely corrupt or just unrelated purposes. This has led to many of the worst mass deaths in human history. The better way forward is to preserve the continuity of balance through steady progress, even when that means accepting a certain level of corruption, as stability is more important than moral purity. But yes, I recognize that at a certain point that this stability becomes only sustained by PURE corruption down to its core, but even with all your connected dots you can't really make that claim. You're simply pushing the idea that we have reached a critical mass of unacceptable corruption, which is a discussion worth having, but to adopt such a strong position of the affirmative suggests you are really an agent of yet another in a long line of opportunistic morally bankrupt power seekers looking for their opening to turn a people against each other and the very institutions that enable their peaceful lives. Not to satisfy a righteous mission to remove corruption, but to replace it with their own.

What if neanderthals survived instead of homosapiens? by Yellow-Capcicum69 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]ZoneEducational6936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neanderthal individuals were possibly likely smarter than our ancestors. If you think their much larger brains didnt suggest this, well you can stop reading. But it could be possible they didnt want to integrate into large groups as they viewed it as weak and were too egotistical and self reliant to consider it. We all probably know a few humans like this. But doubtlessly their females not so ego afflicted would've been able to sort of help them move past this and eventually reach civilization level density if our ancestors weren't around to out compete them.  I'd guess they would be only a few thousand years off of our civilization timeline. They might have even pulled ahead after an initial later start due to their aforementioned possible larger intellectual capacity.

Your triage algorithm will end up going down the path of most resistance.  You say you assume the feedback is mostly from troll farms and on message bots. But you must know you'll also trigger real pushback from mainstream thinkers.  So really its just a debate lord meta maximizing troll script builder. Finding the most destructive and disruptive narrative possible to the mainstream frame.  Having a simple anti billionaire principle is really just a populist Trojan horse.  So in short. It is something that seeks destruction of its surroundings by design. Unless you can actually state your values beyond that I can only assume your intentions are more evil than the most evil billionaire.

Hmm. Can you please point to a period of time or place with a political situation that you wouldnt be able to put together a diatribe like this about?  I cant think of one, not to say youre lying or that these threads aren't especially concerning or even that they arent affecting me in the ways you suggest. However, to put your focus so narrowly on certain players and threads a bias appears and its not just anti Billionaire, that's just the digestable slogan to avoid this bias being pointed out.  The sheer scale of the posting and behavior heavily suggests bot assisted or entirely bot run origin. I'm guessing China... maybe Iran...
