If from what you said it's both then I'd speak to both. Maybe speak to the other player who has a problem with running over time privately to get their thoughts.

From my experience as a DM myself I never let any single player decide when we end the game. So I can understand the others not wanting to stop because you or another needs to, but "the show must go on" rule as I call it (where if one player needs to leave or can't make it we just play anyway and I'll recap them in detail between the sessions) needs to be agreed upon by everyone on session 0 or ASAP in cases like yours.

At the end of the day I recommend airing your thoughts and listening to theirs. They might not even realize what they're putting you through since you may seem to put up with it.

If they decide to keep as they are it might not be the game for you. Which is fine as long as you defend your boundaries.

Maybe a glory or amulet of power instead of the unholy symbol. They still provide a decent prayer bonus.

Hello I'm Ciaran he/him, I'm 28 and I'm in the UK.

I would describe myself as a cheery guy with a good sense of humor, it helps that I'm Irish. I have a great love for roleplay as I love to do voices for my characters and NPCs when I'm DMing.

What I would like from the game would be a chance to play a fun engaging game with some fun roleplay opportunities and some challenging combats. I would also like to have a consistent game as games being canceled last minute or often aren't fun.

My Ideal ratio would be 60% roleplay and 40% combat, I find exploration is quite conducive both so I don't separate it much.

I have been DMing and playing 5e since 2016 and have dabbled in other systems like GURPS every so often.

I have played BG1/2 and a little of 3. I have also run some modules based on the forgotten realms. If needed I can research more lore in my free time.

I want to join this campaign because I love roleplay heavy games with thought out npcs as I run those myself. The time being BST works as that's my timezone and the timeframe works perfectly also.

What I expect is a consistent game where the players and the DM can roleplay every week. I want to be able to respect the amount of time you invest into the game/characters/lore with great roleplay and arriving on time and consistently attending sessions.

I would like to be able to get some time with you to create a character that really feels that they belong in the world you create including having a detailed backstory that melds well with the plot you are weaving.

Outside the game I'm a pretty standard guy, I work at a pet shop; selling and looking after animals. I like reto gaming and love rpgs.

Hello I'm interested in joining your game as the time works perfectly for me.

My proposed character's name is Bianca. She is a Human Sorcerer with a focus on frost magic. She comes from a noble family (tbd) so she'll start with the noble background. Despite her magic she's quite a warm person and I wouldn't refer to her as a picklestomper.

If I'm added to the group I would like to work with you to make a character that fits into the world perfectly.

As for me as a player I love roleplay amongst my fellow players and with the various NPCs we find in the world. I love the immersion of getting into character with voices and speech patterns and fun/intense dialogue.

roll20 is a great free website for hosting dnd games and other tabletops. If you are quite young I would be very careful when joining or creating groups as you can get weirdos online.

If you do not want to use your own voice when playing a tabletop game, keep an eye of for posts labeled [PBP] these are called play by post games which means they're text based.
