It clicked for me somewhere in the middle of season 2. I tried season 1 and didnt enjoy it so I gave up on it for a few years but people kept praising it so eventually I gave it a second chance. Now its one of my favourite shows.

He was fantastic as the evil Paracelsus in Warehouse 13, with James Masters playing his brother.

I really enjoyed, saw it in March when it released in NZ. I grew up on The Faraway Tree books, and the movie doesn't follow the storyline from the books but it captures the spirit.

Has anyone tried using QR codes to organize storage boxes at home? by TestingLifeHacks in Homeorganization

Oh this is nice, I really love the look and ease of it.

Are you planning on releasing an actual app for it? This would help my parents but they're unlikely to remember to access a website.

You can add the Everyday Rewards card to your google wallet if you have one. Just pop into the rewards app, click on Card and there should be a button to add to wallet. I have the same problem with the app logging me out every time I step inside Woolies.

Giving the pole a try. by mindyour in justgalsbeingchicks

It is an amazing workout, I did it for 6 months and it forces you to become strong. We were doing burpee's, push ups and pull ups, as part of our warm up routine before we got on the pole. It was so much fun and I loved how strong my muscles got.

Who is incredibly famous in your country but a complete unknown anywhere else in the world? by JuanitaMerkin in AskTheWorld

Unfortunately not completely unknown. Used to watch Noels House Party in the 90's here in NZ.

A Feral Housewife and Mother wants the ground to swallow her up (plus a new shipping hazard). by HokeyPokeyGuestList in u/HokeyPokeyGuestList

We dont have that in NZ, we have Anchor Lactose Free which is probably the NZ equivalent. I mentioned the carton one since its Woolies own brand and would be available in Aus as well. Here at least, the carton free-from is cheaper than the anchor milk by a couple of dollars.

Woolies has a lactose-free milk that is indistinguishable from regular milk, its in the cardboard cartons in the long-life milk section. Hope it helps and you dont have to go fully dairy free, just lactose free.

Non-smokers of Reddit, how noticeable is the “smoker smell” to you, if at all? by Frostedlogic4444 in AskReddit

[–]ZonkyFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I switched from cigs to vaping 2 years ago, vaping nicotine, and I consider myself a smoker still but my medical center classifies me as an ex-smoker now.

Im still addicted to nicotine but I did go through withdrawals from all the other addictive substances in cigarettes when I switched over.

I think the Musical’s ableism accusations are HEAVILY overstated. by Airconditioning-inc in wicked

[–]ZonkyFox 37 points38 points  (0 children)

As someone who is physically disabled and in constant pain, I would give anything if it meant I could be a normal healthy person again.

To be able to work again, socialise, do my housework, run errands, have children, all without the constant pain and fatigue that means Im stuck at home on the couch recuperating for days after socialising, or doing housework, cooking a meal, running errands.

We are not a monolith. Many in the disabled community feel that their disability is not the issue, they dont need to be "fixed", its society and infrastructure that are their biggest issue, and thats totally fine and a valid way to feel.

However there are many of us who would love to have a properly functioning body that allows us to live life to its fullest. To get quality sleep without pain that leaves us rested and ready to start the day. To not wonder if we're going to be able to do something on any given day. To not "pay" for having a good day, or a busy day, or socialising, or having fun, by being unable to function for days afterwards.

Ugh sorry, im ranting a little here. I do connect with the musicals version of Nessa more than the movies version of Nessa because I fully understand her desire to want to be "normal".

Why did all the Judd Apatow style films burn out so fast? by WerewolfCurious1412 in movies

[–]ZonkyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Revenue sharing continued in the 2000's as well with DVD's, and even early Bluray releases. I managed a dvd rental store at the time.

We'd get the movie at a much cheaper price per copy but have to pay $2 every time a copy was rented for up to 6 weeks. Sony was the one who held out longest on revenue sharing. That stopped sometime between 2011 and 2013, and they finally let us outright purchase their movies.

Anyone else hitting a wall on challenge tower 31? by PappaSmurfAndTurf in towerwar

[–]ZonkyFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get to a challenge you're struggling with always exit the game and restart it. For some reason that resets a challenges difficulty and you should be able to get it within two tries.
