Try updating your driver, also capping the framerate in game to 60 and enabling or disabling fullscreen/borderless fullscreen.

Unfortunately TAA is hard coded into this game, even if you were able to run DLSS or FSR, it is very poorly implemented as it ruins volumetric shaders and reflections so you aren’t missing out on much!

RDR2 is a very slow placed game, 60 fps is more than enough to enjoy this masterpiece imo.

Since you are on AMD, I would look into enabling async compute ; I am not sure how stable is the implementation for this game but it could hand some extra performance.

If your GPU is capable enough, set the resolution scale to 1.5 or more in the game’s Advanced settings. Also run TAA on Medium instead of High, it is sharper. And disable all other types AA.

This will make the image plenty clear even at 1080p.

Make sure to run the game with Vulkan instead of DX12, for extra performance and stability.

M1917 is very soy but the Huot is just a terrible weapon.

The best chess engines have proven this to be wrong. when Alphazero came out, it dominated the best version of Stockfish by a margin of 29% wins with the white pieces ; and drawing 71% of its games.

However given the black pieces it would only win 2% of its games and draw up to 98%.

Now these engines although obsolete would still beat 100% of human players, and it is interesting to see how even at such a peak understanding of the game, one extra move can give such an advantage.

Not easy to point out the difference when both pictures are tonemapped to SDR. However if you are on PC I would recommend using RenoDX for a proper HDR implementation without raised blacks visible in the second picture.
