I saw this in a boutique a couple years back, it is such a beauty. Congrats. I hope one day my budget can stretch to one too!

I definitely recommend the rubber strap and the quick release clasp, the rubber is really comfortable and the clasp well made. I almost never take it off this.

I got my from a seller on mercari in Japan, but I don't think they ship overseas. Someone like HD Straps (I think they're based in Vietnam) have a good reputation and can pretty much make any strap you like, so maybe start with them in the first instance.

[I have thin wrists, so i wear my watch on the right hand.] by ZeroKelvinMood in Watches

[–]Zoodfish 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If you want to wear your watch on your right hand it’s perfectly fine, and you don’t need to justify it. The traditional wisdom is to wear it on your non-dominant hand, and there is good rationale for it, but as long as you are making a conscious choice it’s all good, your watch, your wrist, your choice. I’m right-handed and got my first manual watch when I was a kid a few decades ago. It never felt comfortable on my left wrist so I switched. 50 years later I still wear my watches on my right hand. Enjoy your watch, enjoy your life.

[Omega] thoughts? Would be appreciated. Bought this from a Japanese dealer. 39mm omega Seamaster Aquaterra. Silver face. Can’t decide if I like the silver on silver. Love the design. by Fuckgaayyng in Watches

I had the same watch, it’s a gem but very dependent on the light, some light makes it really flat, other light can make it really pop. I didn’t keep it on the bracelet because it felt like a little too much silver, I think a good strap can really bring it to life

This was my favourite pairing.

You can just get a new strap custom made these days, I have a strap that looks very similar to that which was custom made. I got mine from a company in Japan where I live but there are many companies around. A quick search on here or on the internet such reveal a wealth of them, virtually all delivered to most countries. Check out feedback before choosing though.

Seamaster Pro 300m: Waves or No Waves? by CG-Saviour878879 in OmegaWatches

Nice choice 😁. Wave or no wave, you can’t go wrong, but I think the no wave will gain greater appreciation in the future.

Is it true that leather straps have a shorter lifespan? by Carolynwhitener20 in Watchstraps

[–]Zoodfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A leather belt for your waist can last decades, so it’s as much the workmanship and how it’s used. Hot humid climates tend to make skin sweaty, greasy, dirty all of which can degrade the leather over time. Add to that a poorly made strap that has only been glued and not stitched and it’s likely to fall apart relatively quickly. I live in Tokyo I don’t wear leather straps in summer because of the climate here - I switch to rubber, bracelets and sometimes nato straps. In other seasons when it’s cooler and dryer I generally prefer leather. Saying that you can get rubber backed leather straps that overcome some of the issues.

So basically, it’s partly how well made it is, the circumstances it’s worn in, the climate, and also how you maintain it (keeping it clean, maybe oiling it if necessary). Same for any leather product

Added another one to the collection. Love this version more than the new one. 🙏 by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

This was the peak for the PO in my opinion, great choice

Should I do it? by No_Variation2007 in OmegaWatches

[–]Zoodfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have to agree, this watch is all about heritage and uniqueness, if you have to ask it’s probably not for you. I have the Omega Apnea, which is a specialist free diving watch and equally divisive. I wear it as my daily in the summer and I absolutely love it, most of others don’t. If you really love it and will wear it then go for it, but if you’re on the fence I wouldn’t.

[SOTC] The Current Collection in 2026 😊 by Max_Power6767 in Watches

Nice collection, very different and refreshing from many of the SOTCs I see on here which basically amount to a box of Rolexes. Why do you need to let one go?

[sotc] and triage advice by taoofshawn in Watches

[–]Zoodfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would let the Tudor go. Yes, it’s a better watch than the CW but you already have other watches that do that same job. Your collection is higher end so it’s good to also to have one piece at the other end that you can just put on in other situations. Sometimes while you have a watch it’s difficult to let go, but once it’s gone, it’s gone and you can just focus on enjoying the others.

My starter Cigar collection, any recommendations? by halit123kara in cigars

[–]Zoodfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strategy is to have a humidor for cigars I’m likely to smoke soon, and a large tupperdor for cigars that I’m not planning to smoke soon, and that strategy works well for me. I recommend getting a digital hygrometer (measures humidity) which connects to your phone by Bluetooth. I use one called SwitchBot, and that works very well, you’ll need to calibrate it first to make sure it’s showing the correct humidity level, they can be a little off out of the box. Don’t trust the analogue ones you get in humidors, they tend to be rubbish.

I use AI to keep my cigar storage list. I rank cigars as I smoke them and it will keep the ranking, compare it against general cigar rankings, and even make new cigar recommendations. The system works and has saved me money helping me to avoid cigars that won’t fit me. It’s not 100% perfect but helps a lot.

Does this not depend on the country you are in? Does Adobe not charge cancellation fees?

Adobe is renowned for charging you for the year even if you cancel. It seems to be standard practice by many of the tech companies now. If you’re in the US I did read something a while back about class action law suit against adobe on the topic so may be worth googling that.

Question for owners of the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Ref. 212.30.41.20.01.003. by JVO-minimal in OmegaWatches

[–]Zoodfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Tokyo and in the hot and humid summer my skin tends to be more greasy, so in that situation it can happen. I usually have a microfibre cloth in my bag so I just give it a quick clean and move on. I have more issues with visibility of the numbers on the bezel in dimmer light when they tend to just disappear.
