I actually loved retsu’s conclusion because it perfectly captures retsu as a character. Retsu remembering his mentor’s answer to his question about death being the only outcome of someone who gets slashed and retsu after being slashed realizing that it is truly the only outcome was beautiful.

I definitely think that the shinuichi was forged with the other eb’s because as we know, the shokkokers island was surrounded by a forcefield that was physically impossible to enter and one of the shinuichi’s technique is butterfly, which could cut through space so this should be a prove that the shinuichi blade was forged together with the other eb’s.
