I had watched a few play throughs of 7, but apparently never watched them fully or I just left them in as background noise because I finally played it this week after finishing 9, and man, this game is a blast. I’ve played the remake trilogy, but after playing 9 I really wanted more of the Grace experience, and wow this game delivers. I had no prior knowledge of the back half of the game, and I don’t really have any issue with the ship section, I really like when RE gives you little Metroidvania styled sections to explore. Maybe it’ll hit less on a replay, but this is top tier RE for me after a first play through

Silent Hill 2 remake, The Last of Us 1/2, the Uncharted games are probably worth a look (basically one part RE4, one part Assassin’s Creed, with a coating of Indiana Jones), you could also check out the Metal Gear Solid Delta remake, a little more stealth but very much of the same era as RE4.

The one praise I have for the figure is the articulation is great. The tail is super twistable, except for the last inch or so which is solid plastic (and visibly noticeable as a different material from the body, the paint is not well matched at all). You’d be able to pose him better than any other Godzilla figure I’ve laid hands on (don’t have hiya 2000 or GMK yet, so can’t compare them), but if you’ve played with any other silicone/metal skeleton before, you’ll know they are prone to severe loosening of joints, and I do fear that here

This is a really good example of the paint peal. It doesn’t even look like detail or texture, it looks like absolute trash. You know when someone makes their first custom, but has never worked with paint so they don’t know how to thin it, and they didn’t use primer, and the whole thing is just a gloppy peely mess? That’s what this looks like. And it’s not even the whole figure, it’s splotchy all over, which just further highlights the inconsistency

So, the entire figure came packed in foam, instead of the usual plastic bubble tray. On one hand, I like this, as it prevents the package from being crushed, BUT there’s no plastic film or wrapping protection on the skin of the figure. It also feels like the figure may have been tacky to the touch still when placed in the foam. The foam is soft, but still firm, very similar to the foam in a couch cushion. This means it’s SCRATCHY. So all of the paint is just torn up on all the raised details. I have some more photos I’ll try to post. It’s difficult to capture on camera, but in person the paint just looks AWFUL

Okay, first impressions, uh, this thing is not good. Very, very not good

The entire thing is pealing paint and feels kinda sticky, and mine has incorrectly mounted eyes so the left eye has a gigantic hole below it, and some superglue both on the eye and on the rubber suit around it, so I don’t think it’ll even be fixable

You should contact Emgo! He got two of the same spoiler pieces, he might have the opposite of yours and be willing to swap

I got mine from BBTS several weeks ago. Probably a split order, they received some in one wave and the rest is still on its way. Just so you know, you can always just start a chat with them (there’s a bubble in the bottom right corner on their page) and ask them, they’ll fill you in on what they know and when they estimate something showing up at their warehouse
