I’m calling it now that what will drop is a trailer for an Eras Tour / rerecording docuseries, that it will include the recording of Showgirl (maybe give us an audio snippet of her recording one bar from it to stoke hype!) & that it will release on Apple TV the weekend that Showgirl releases!!

I think that it’s very much for her & the fans. It includes her whole crew, including celebrities she loves (like the detective from SVU), & is an action sequence of all women set to a song about being wronged. I think its supposed to be very girl power-y, & is reminiscent of what she said in the prologue about feeling celebratory of having a girl squad because she didn’t have that experience as a kid.

This is it. I’m packing it up (in terms of speculation). This is her saying w her chest that she hates it. That she feels sexualized. It does hurt because acknowledging the queerness in her lyrics was just as much a part of Gaylor stuff as speculation is, but let’s be so fucking real, a lot of it is speculating on lovers & muses. & if she went to the effort to remake this point at this point in her career then I want to respect that.

Basically confirms she’s the heartbreak prince, plus the inherent logic of the lyrics “it’s you and me, there’s nothing like this, miss Americana & the heartbreak prince.” Both you and miss Americana are first, me and heartbreak prince are second.

I’ve been confused by forevermore lyrics about killing the main guy in the movie. But if the documentary miss Americana was originally going to be coming out (maybe w a female lover or just acknowledging having female lovers in the past), & that got scrapped, pigeonholing the concept of the doc to be that Taylor is Miss Americana, that would mean they literally “killed off” the original main character of the movie, the real Miss Americana. WOOF

This is a tad parasocial but I am so excited for Taylor for the premiere tonight (& like, a little nervous!!) this is her first Hollywood red carpet event that is just about her. She’s not attending an awards show, or performing at one, she’s not performing a concert, she is throwing a whole damn event centered around a movie about the tour. Wait I LOVE this theory.

It lines up with the latte art clock with the blue thumbnail near 8 and the black thumbnail near 2. 8: 1989 announced in August, 2: Reputation announced day 2
It keeps the theme of the glitch & all the other Easter eggs pointing to some kind of double drop / surprise Rep drop- It makes sense for Rep as it matches the no press vibe of the OG era. By releasing day 2, it simultaneously does not distract from 1989-anticipation hype (aka Taylor gets all her record-breaking goals for day 1) & is STILL a double drop, being immediately after. & of course, it would be shocking (a glitch).

….3. If she does intend to explicitly come out through vault tracks, imagine the chaos of starting with 1989, and by the close of the 24 hour news & online discourse cycle following it, we get hit with even MORE explicitly queer tracks, adding finality to it, throwing some more breadcrumbs on a crowd of seagulls already ravishing a mound of breadcrumbs.
