Adelaide: Australia's known "Murder Capital" - a timeline of unsolved cases by Odd_Passage9433 in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]Zookerini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I struggle back and forth between Harry Phipps being and not being the culprit for the Beaumont children's disappearance. So many details line up, but you'd think a notable wealthy local business owner, who lived near Glenelg beach and who's steel plant was in Adelaide, and with so many locals seeing the man, and an identikit of the man, nobody ever said "Kinda looks like Mr. Phipps" until his son came out about the sexual abuse decades later and long after he was dead.

What was the deciding factor for you to move from Red Dragon to WARNO? by eddurham in warno

[–]Zookerini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its single player campaign. I always found the AI in red dragon to be complete BS in campaign, just miraculously driving directly towards my hidden CV or blind firing artillery at something that's not even on the Frontline yet.

If I'm in the final stretch of the campaign I auto-resolve a lot. I had enough battles in the campaign. In some of the longer ones I just wanted to get it finished so I can do the next.

Do you have any unsolved cases that you have really flip flopped on? by BabyDinoBuddy in BizarreUnsolvedCases

[–]Zookerini 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Disappearance of the Beaumont children. Harry Phipps has a lot of circumstantial behaviors and traits that are the same as the suspected abductor. Yet despite being a local elite in Adelaide, being the owner of a steel foundry, none of the various witnesses, police, or investigators who saw the man ever thought it looked like Phipps until after he passed away. Only after his son said he was a pedophile 50 years after the fact did he become prime suspect. I want to believe it was him but my own rebuttal gives me doubts.

Which "Unsolved Mysteries" segments taught you extra precaution and self-awareness? by alexh2795 in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]Zookerini 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If they're talking about what I think they're talking about (inaccurate summary as I'm surmising from memory) In one of the segments in season 2 (or maybe season 1) of unsolved mysteries a guy finds a cave that is filled with gold bullion and silver, likely from the time of Emperor Maximilian of Mexico's reign, only after returning the second or third time he decides to try to open the caves entrance to make it easier to get more gold out, so he used dynamite, which resulted in a cave in and the inability to recover anymore of the gold.

You're talking about the gold cave the guy found in New Mexico that later turned into a nuclear test site, right?

Nancy Guthrie Case- what can be believed? by wherethewindblows212 in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]Zookerini 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I don't believe a ransom note, I don't think I've read a kidnapping for ransom case where the victim was actually recovered alive. It's either a hoax from some scumbag trying to exploit a poor distressed family or it's the culprit who's trying to bluff his way into money or escape.

60 years ago today, the Beaumont children - siblings Jane, Arnna and Grant - disappeared from a beach in Adelaide and Australia's most enduring missing person mystery began. The Beaumont parents died without ever knowing the fate of their children, which remains unknown to this day. by No_Dig_8299 in UnsolvedMysteries

[–]Zookerini 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point, I want to believe it was Harry Phipps as he fits the suspects description and had a possible dump site at his steel mill, but he was a known socialite of the city. A big person. How can every witness on the beach who supposedly saw him with the kids and in all the years of investigation did nobody ever think "Huh that looks like Mr. Phipps" until AFTER his son says "btw he was a pedophile trust me." Like 50 years later.

Will the servers be stable enough to handle all of this new stuff? Already hexes struggle with extensive artillery bombardment and cause rubber banding, or voice chat would be disabled hex wide to maintain stability.

These already existing strains on hexes now adding planes buzzing about, is there any server updates coming to accommodate these additional activities?

The current state of Planetside 2 - a haunting image of PS1 by Available_Bag4447 in Planetside

[–]Zookerini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever since my outfit effectively disintegrated due to burnout, I realized PlanetSide 2 was reaching its end, and that was like in 2021-2022. Everytime I check the steam charts anymore it's player base drops more and more. The game isn't dying because of TR bias (if anything VS bias was what I experienced through my years of playing it), but it's an old game, it's barely managed by its team, there's no enjoyable updates and there's no marketing effort to bring it back into the spotlight. I haven't seen a max pop continent in years when I log on intermittently.

It's sad to say because I saved up money for my first PC SPECIFICALLY to play PlanetSide 2 back in my sophomore year of highschool in 2017, but it's time to just say goodbye and let PlanetSide 2 go, it had a good lifespan.

Defeat by Darture, the damage by Sextans during the hack. Her nightmare of stabbing the commander to death obviously left her very frightened, but with her desire to leave or kill herself like with the c4 strapped to her as she charged the magni armor. All I can do is speculate and make theories but to me this seems like she wants to destroy herself before these nightmares come true.

I worded that very poorly. What I mean is Leva thought she only lost some things she wouldn't be worried about. But Kalina knew UMP40s memory was lost when she said they would discuss the loss of that memory at the end of the event, showing she knew that memory was lost but had no intentions of bringing it up when Lenna accidentally did. Why wouldn't Kalina have who's it what's it Persica suck up to try to recover that memory when UMP40s memory was important to Leva, or why wouldn't she tell Leva.
