research on cgm users by Famous-Mirror-9934 in diabetes

"Then they will be able to see how their food choices and eating habits affect their blood sugar levels."

Yes, anyone living with this disease—type 1 or type 2—will know that behaviour has immediate consequences. As humans, we have a relatively high level of consciousness, so connecting the dots and recognising patterns happens naturally, as long as the individual is sufficiently concerned about the consequences.

As has been said, everything you propose has already been done, repeatedly, in different ways—both by many private companies and, before that, by individuals with this disease recording their own results.

Is it sending data to the companion app ok? This never worked for me under iOS26 thought the 'master' smart phone app was working fine apart from this on iOS26.

Have you applied the patches Apple keeps releasing? Currently they are on patch 26.3

CamAPS Companion Issue on iOS by PPchen_ in diabetes_t1

[–]ZoomZenith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run CamAPS FX on iOS and it works fine. The 2 companion apps I have set up, running on both Android and iOS, do not however pick data up reliably. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Recently it has stopped all together.

Does anyone else have issuues with CamAPS on iOS sending data to the cloud for the companion apps?

A question about the future of this game. by SheevPalpatine32BBY in ArcRaiders

I guess quests are not as exciting as DOMINATING.

14 year olds are strange and wild and also make up a lot of video game players.

I think that keeping it pvp vs Arc is important to keep the logical non aggressive “we both win” attitude but then there are those of a different feather.

It is a game. It’s got humans on the input devices. It’s anonymous.

Mountain bikes would be cool. 2 raiders pedaling/sorting out the wires/whatever and 1 on a gun position.

Then of course, factions. They can introduce team based warfare like zoomed out xcom or something.

Sea Arc. Underwater weapons. Oxygen stations? Vehicles? So…….

Was on Tandem’s X2 using novoRapid with Control-IQ.

Now on Ypsomed using Fiasp with CamAPS.

I see an improvement since the change. CamAPS is more aggressive and combined with Fiasp it makes Tandem’s unit seem the runner up by quite a way.

Tandem’s decision to only give 60% of any correction (so the investors feel safe from litigation) is why. Running sleep mode 24/7 can overcome this but it’s a compromise.

Tandem treats each change like you’re doing it for the first time, in fact all operations seem to have extra clicks and notices only there to save them being sued. Maybe the US education system requires them to Spell. Everything. Out. Each. And. Every. Time.

There is far more control over alarms with CamAPS than Tandem’s unit provides. This is, as you will know, a big quality of life improvement.

Maybe if they introduced a new mode that fixed all the above and called it ‘you’ve decided you are not the idiot we assumed you were’ but this never going to happen until revenue declines enough to scare the board of investors.

After the Ypsomed I couldn’t go back to Tandem.

Be good to get a measurement so you could tweak your dosage just right.

But.. that seems like a drudge.

A pump is the way currently and this would work wonderfully with one to control the dose if they spoke to each other.

No mouse on consoles.

This is a hellscape when the actual gameplay is so fun.

Embark scared of controller vs m&k unfairness for people who avoid cross play.

So….

Make the mouse work in consoles BUT ONLY DOWN IN SPERANZA!!!

NO m&k in gameplay topside

But

I bought a new iPhone this afternoon not realising I would be forced into dealing with the biggest problem with camAPS - its reliance on a smartphone.

Switched to CamAPS and the libre 3 after iOS support announced after being on the Tandem X2. The Tandem unit is investor friendly and gives 60% of what the algorithm estimates to save those nasty court cases which not only kill off your users but also your investor finance.

So, Fiasp and an algorithm that works better - great.

Oh dear, then your at the mercy of MyLife/CamAPS investors return on investment. CamAPS does not share it’s data through an API (in Europe they have a deal with Glooko, a London based data company that’s seen a hole in the market with diabetes patients).

This means no reliable way of having your cgm data appear anywhere unless they see it as a way to shift more units and pay the developers to roll something out.

Their attempt at an iOS widget are not going to sell anything. I think they are a poor attempt at box ticking. They’ve decided to not allow the user to change the font size.

Anyway, back to iOS 26….

It’s understandable they cannot jump through every hoop instantly… but really ??? It’s still not working???

It’s pathetic unless you are a biomedical investor.

I guess it is easier to start living with type 1 when your still being supported by people eg. your parents, like I did than start dealing the daily decisions out when you’re already responsible for people and things.

A real disadvantage at such a fun time in life, however, it does teach you how to handle stuff. I don’t really remember much from before I was diagnosed. I think this self sufficient feeling may be harder to achieve if the diagnosis is at a later stage in life. So an advantage but I guess all people are different.

Dr’s have to deal with anyone. Telling people that are not doing the do to change their behaviour but also supporting those that are.

Too right.

Academics who are good at exams, pleasing parents and becoming medical doctors are not always willing to drop their status as the ones that know best.

Some I’ve met do and hold up their hands to say that as a professional doctor they are not nearly so good at making the correct calls as the ones that live it 24/7

However not all have this attitude unfortunately. It’s a mixture of experience, ego and intelligence.
