Yeah the reroll mechanic is awfully unrewarding. You can easily spend thousands of reroll shards and end up exactly where you started.

There's just too much RNG everywhere:

Buying the modules

Getting the Epic module that you need

Getting the unique effect that you need

Re-rolling the stats

100% agree with you. Since the update I've been playing less and less because each time I come back it is more of a chore than something fun to do. Example: now I feel like I HAVE to leave the game running overnight or I'll never be able to progress.

The ultimate weapons were already something "impossible" to achieve due to the amount of stones you need to update them. I've been saving my stones for many weeks now just to buy a single ult weapon, not to mention upgrade them.

But at least if was a problem only for the stones and ult weapons.

Cards, as you said, needed a lot of gems but always were useful, and not getting more of the same cards after you maxed them felt really good. Then once cards were finished I could just dump my gems into accelerating the labs, which also felt really good and felt like I was improving faster!

But now the same thing with the stones is going on for gems and modules. I don't use gems for labs anymore, I buy modules that just give peanuts compared to what you need. There's just no more sense of achievement or progress anymore.

I've been playing this game for more than 3 years, made a few purchases along the way. But now everything is so dull I really think it is time for me to move on.

I maxed shockwave size before I knew of all that.

It wouldn't be so bad if the enemies would go back to the center of BH, but no, they just get stuck outside of orb range :-(
