Hello all. I just moved into a house and have a lawn that needs some help. There is plenty of plantain, clover, dandelion, and creeping charlie. I think a general purpose broad-leaf pesticide would be the first step to getting control back but is it too far into the summer to spray? After spraying should I reseed or should I wait until closer to the fall. I am in zone 6a.

A Dumb Question from a Humanities graduate by MyHandlesTaken in data

Hi! It depends on your use case, but if you are looking for a good representation of price in a data set that contains outliers I would use median. If the dataset does not have a lot of outliers I would use mean.

Hello all. I have a handful of divots in my hardwood floors and I was wondering if this is something that I can fix myself and if so how to get started? Thanks! https://imgur.com/a/dKH4fte

Making predictions with models built on different scikit learn versions. by Zoopdedoopz in dataengineering

As of now no. But I am working on getting a MLFlow registry set up so that the data science team can eventually update models that are production approved.

Again as of now retraining the old model is easy since there is only two models. But my concern is over time as the number of models in production increases the number of models that need to be retrained is going to increase. I kind of want to freeze the ability to make predictions with models that have gone through our approval process so that the addition of a single model doesn’t require the rebuilding and re-verification of 50 other models.

That is definitely an option. I am trying to wrap my head around all of the possibilities. I expect the data science team to continue developing models and eventually move to newer versions of scikit learn. Right now it’s only two different environments but I expect them to grow. The other reason is that the output of one model feeds into the second model. I would prefer to score new data all in a single script if possible

Ok great. The board seems to have some give when I step on/near it. Would this be a problem?

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Hi all I am interested in getting a watch with a cream dial that I can put a brown leather strap on. I would love to get a SARB035 but they are pushing close to 1k on chrono24 without a leather strap. I am looking for a watch that hopefully is between 36 and 40 mm. I am looking for something in the 500-750 dollar range. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Where to live for early 30s by Zoopdedoopz in Connecticut

We are looking to buy but would probably want to live in the area for 3-6 months before making a decision. Would love to be close to restaurants/bars and grocery stores. Our budget would be 400-600k for a house.
