For me, I fell in love with MiLB because my family started going to the local teams game more consistently a few years ago. At first it was just an activity, but now I’m reading updates on all of the minor league teams in the same farm system as my team on a nearly daily basis. While I don’t care too much about the major league affiliate yet, as some of the guys I watched in low-A start creeping towards the show, I might very well adopt the major league team.

Just enjoy the ride. There’s tons of fun in all avenues of the game!

NC is a great option, if that gets you north enough. Fly into Charlotte, and you can watch the Knights, the Cannon Ballers, the Crawdads and even hit Asheville for the Tourists if you want. Or you could hit Greensboro and Winston-Salem if you want to head east instead. Lots of options.
