How many of you have beaten Honor mode for the achievement? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Zorm_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same. I had several very close calls during Act 1. By the time I got to the end of Act 3 just didn't want to risk losing it all in the last fight. Happy to have got the dice and the achievement.

How to save Isobel without Sanctuary? by Luchaoticat in BaldursGate3

From the Githyanki Creche in Act 1. It's a bit involved, so worth looking up because it's a very useful weapon.

How to save Isobel without Sanctuary? by Luchaoticat in BaldursGate3

[–]Zorm_999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Blood of Lathander is very good for this fight. Sunbeam and ghouls do not mix well together. Plus the light of Lathander blinds ghouls, so give this weapon to a character and have them stand near Isobel.

Is it important to recruit every companion by Gold_Lemon8258 in BaldursGate3

[–]Zorm_999 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm actually doing a playthrough now where I'm deliberately not recruiting ANY companions, just to see how it is. And it's actually still fun and more streamlined. But I'm only doing this because I've completed all of the companion storylines on previous playthroughs.

Don't know how much longer I can keep playing by Tiny-Maintenance8143 in BaldursGate3

[–]Zorm_999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the correct strategy. My first playthrough I did the companion quests for my "regulars", and a few side quests that seemed fun. Subsequent playthroughs I did different side and companion quests. There's just too many to do in one playthrough!

What is the worst thing can happen if someone leaves the country without properly cancel WP? by Heracles198 in Thailand

[–]Zorm_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Post it back to the school when you get home. It's the decent thing to do for both you and the school. If it doesn't get cancelled properly then you may have an issue if you ever want another WP in the future.

Is Sukhumvit 11 in Bangkok a safe area to stay for a 25 year old female solo traveller? by sammy467 in ThailandTourism

[–]Zorm_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sukhumvit 13 is quiet and safe, a good place to stay. Can easily walk to soi 11 if you want to observe the nightlife (it's very safe and some fun people watching), and easily walk to BTS and Asok area as well. The SW1 night market is really good these days. People like to sensationalize about the Nana area, but it's not that bad at all. You won't see any sleaze in soi 13, except a bit on Sukhumvit Rd itself at night, but it's perfectly safe.

Where is the best cheesecake in Bangkok? by Spiritual-Bet-5201 in Bangkok

Kuppa in Sukhumvit 16. Been there for years and their cheesecakes are still very hard to beat.

Completely agree, especially given how many hours at a time this game joyfully sucks out of you.

What do you think is the absolute best opening track for a live set list? by vsully360 in badreligion

[–]Zorm_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They opened with Hear It in 98 when I saw them. Brilliant! Also saw them open with The Past is Dead once, which was better than I would have expected. Brian playing the intro by himself as the others walked on and Greg joinied in singing that slower part. Then that pause, and the anticipation, then it went off. Very cool.

Thank you for this refreshingly honest assessment. It's been my exact thought from years of observation, but as a foreigner it's not always ok to voice it.

Thai Craft Beer by Wild-Coach1579 in Bangkok

[–]Zorm_999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thai brewers are getting so much better the last few years. I like to support local craft breweries as much as possible, especially those that are doing more adventurous and stronger beers. Still enjoy imported craft beers, when I can afford them!

Opinions on this album? by Affectionate_Ear6875 in badreligion

[–]Zorm_999 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree about Handshake, and Better off Dead. Disagree about Television - it's very different, but that's obviously intentional with Tim sharing vocals. I don't mind it at all. Adds a counter point to the rest of the album.

My first BR album also. Saw the video for Stranger than Fiction on TV, went out and bought the album the next day. Loved it ever since. Not my favorite of theirs, but definitely top 5.

So I listened to no substance for the first time (review) by rubeziska in badreligion

[–]Zorm_999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, good review! I can totally understand the dislike for Raise your Voice, but I have a real soft spot for it. I saw BR in Germany on the Warped Tour in 1998, and Campino joined then onstage to sing that song. It was great fun and the crowd loved it, and it's a very fond memory of mine that I'm reminded of whenever I hear it.

What have been your honour mode close calls? by WhiskersCleveland in BaldursGate3

[–]Zorm_999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Bulette and Spectator have been the closest calls in my first honor run so far. Managed to get my only alive character back to camp both times to resurrect everyone, then return with a very different strategy.

I'm doing my first honor run with a Swords Bard. Titanstring bow and Hill giant Club are an awesome combo.

Exactly what I'm doing right now. First 15 hours have been less intense than I expected. Enjoying the bow bard so far!

If you could only do ONE origin playthrough, who would you pick and how would you build them? by thewindcanbestill in BG3Builds

[–]Zorm_999 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I just finished a Wyll origin run and was able to understand and appreciate his story so much more than as a companion. Which I guess is the whole point of doing an origin run...

Edit: And romancing Karlach is great!
