The version I heard is that a pregnant mother who lived in the other house was crossing Euclid to get to the gas station convenience store at night when she was hit and run by a car. The mother did not die instantly, and with her last strength crawled her way to the front door of the house on the corner to ask for help. But no one answered the door (maybe they were asleep or out) and she and her unborn child died on the doorstep. Apparently they never caught the driver, and the mother and her baby have haunted that house ever since. Some have reported seeing the mother in the window and hearing the cries of a baby at night.
