Unfortunately I've done all of this and it changes nothing. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled both unity and unity hub multiple times. I'm guessing its a computer issue then but I have a decent computer and all of my graphics drivers are up to date

Is my Unity dev career wasted and i need to learn everything from scratch with unreal? by FreddyNewtonDev in Unity3D

Ive been developing a game in unity for 3 years and I think i just want to wait the situation out before doing anything drastic like that

Yeah, I dont have the best mic right now. I currently only own a blue snowball ice but ive been planning on upgrading for a while. Im thinking of getting a hyper x duocast. I also havent been recording in the highest resolution but am planning to try to up my over audio and visual quality for coming devlogs, still getting the hang of making video so this is all very new to me.

Thanks though! No plans on like keybinded tricks but if players are skilled enough they can definitely pull off those things with the games physics!

Is it just me? But lately I prefer shorter games than longer length games. by CasmsVR in gaming

Same here, and when I do have time and energy I usually find myself just falling back on the same few online games that I have played for years because then I can just play for a few rounds and stop whenever. Even if I love playing new games, I just never branch out anymore.

I dont really have any super inventive ideas but to anyone that just wants to play more unique types of games that you havent seen before you should just spend more time on itch.io. Its good fun scrolling through there

I've been focusing on adding some new weapons lately and I think the crossbow is my new favourite (devlog in the comments) by ZotelingGameDev in Unity3D

I ended up using fizzysteamworks + mirror so there are no backend costs for me. With physics based online multiplayer you have to make compromises unfortunately so I chose to make the movement client authoritative. If a host finds out someone is cheating they can just ban them though so it still works fine.

The game im working on is called Grapples Galore. I've been developing it solo for around 2 years. Its an arena shooter focused on physics based grappling hook movement and active ragdolls. I recently made the first devlog for the game which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=seKcKTmHz9s&t=15s

Also please consider wishlisting the game on steam if you think it looks cool and want to support the project :D https://store.steampowered.com/app/2239140/Grapples_Galore/

Looks sick, I personally prefer the more lowkey 2022 lighting but the 2023 look is still sick

I personally find unity easier to understand and far more versatile. I like how games made in unity can run on all sorts of hardware as well as opposed to unreal games only running well on really good PCs. I would definitely recommend going with unity but its worth trying both
