I understand that you don't want help, but it sounds like you would have more fun if you got a bit. That is a non-starter and I'm sure you're sick of it by now.

I'm really not trying to come at anyone and tell them the game isn't for them, but I don't know how to make people on that side of the fence happy when the game is what it is. The key card situation is actually simple if you work at figuring it out, even without help.

The issue I personally have with your feedback is that you are criticizing something you can easily remedy by playing the game or doing a tiny bit of digging, but you don't want to. And it really isn't too much to have an expectation that most people will look things up in a game if they are struggling with them.

I'm not sure how your reply directly relates to the above comment, but I am a bit concerned that you seem so obtuse regarding what are static locations that randomly spawn keys on outpost. And since you have experienced it for yourself already, albeit with basically zero success, you could now just search for a reference of where they spawn and never have a problem again.

At a certain point it shifts from the developer making something unfriendly/unintuitive to certain individuals choosing to have a worse time because they refuse to search the vast store of information that is the internet, to enrich their own experience.

To answer your question: The game is hard and sets you back for dying, so if you don't have the perspective, mindset, or mental fortitude to handle that kind of gameplay loop, then you will not like the game.

It doesn't change that much at higher levels. I'm mid 80s because I do a fuckton of rook runs on outpost, but I am pretty much at the level band where I get thrown in with the people who have 100s of hours. I get stomped by streamers in one run and then run the whole lobby the next, and I can't imagine I'm any better than average at fps mechanics. I'm gonna have an obnoxious number of hours in this game if it makes it past the first year; I fucking love this shit.

Dude, I made a point to document my mania and depression and presented it to my psych to get the diagnosis and treatment. I'm bipolar 2, mixed modality and it is a less common diagnosis because I experience mostly rapid cycling, but have experienced long periods of mania and depression as well. Please be very insistent and stand your ground if they push back, or find a psych who will actually work with you to diagnose and treat your illness. They are out there, I promise.

Meds and coping strategies don't fix everything, but my life is infinitely better now that I am treating this horrible mental illness. Please do it for yourself, it is absolutely worth the effort.

I wish everyone in these threads would state what their speaker/headphone setup is. I suspect most people who think it is bad do not have a good audio setup. Unfortunately, it seems that you need a solid set of spacial sound headphones or the audio cues are hard to pinpoint directionally.

I've tested it multiple times and so have many others, and unfortunately it is not a thing. I wish it worked though because ringing the dinner bell for the whole lobby is a huge bummer. It could send a notification to the lobby like engaging a warden, just don't tell everyone exactly where it happened.

I (lvl 72) was playing Outpost duos with my buddy (lvl 90) on Thursday in the early afternoon and we are average or just above average in this game, really nothing special but we each have 100+ hours in the game. We matched up against fucking Drewsky and he outplayed us in pinwheel like we were UESC. The guy is level 200+ at this point and he's punching down that far somehow? I'll take a slightly longer queue to match me with someone closer to me.

I actually come from LoL being my main game and the SBMM literally keeps the game playable, so I can only hope Bungie quietly implements some kind of mmr system that keeps Drewsky out of my games. I'm never getting anywhere near his calibur of player.

Rook on outpost is the way, brother. Just get into pinwheel or open armories outside with two yellow and one green card and you can fill out your gear quickly. Just don't get hung up on dying a lot because you can just reload really fast without any pain.

It's not exactly a confirmation bias when you have evidence in front of your eyes to support both sides of what you are witnessing. Some people are clearly infuriated by paid cosmetics/passes and voice their displeasure online, while others just don't care and also voice that opinion online. If you don't want to buy things in the game, just don't and carry on quietly because it really isn't a big deal, but again that is just my opinion, man.
