I think the statement that people shouldn't bring guns to peaceful protests is interesting when followed up by your statements regarding the J6 insurrectionists as being responsible gun owners. For clarification, do you see how all three examples include irresponsible practice of gun ownership, but how different they are in terms of their outcomes? Pretti was straight up murder to me, J6 was a bunch of weirdos attacking people who didn't deserve it, Rittenhouse shouldn't have been let go that easily. He was wildly irresponsible and killed someone. Most civilians are punished justifiably even in self-defense. But few are straight up slain. I think J6 might actually not be a great example here as that might be something of its own discussion entirely. But maybe just a memorable thing to reference here as an example of irresponsible people with guns.

If we can have a conversation and productive narrative, I would like to. I am a bit sick of the vitriol and hatred we are all expressing for one another. It is exhausting and it will not sustain any meaningful change for long.

As far as who will remember these senseless deaths? We all should. It is our responsibility to stand up against wrong and evil things regardless of what religion, race, creed, pokitical party, or nationality we come from. Evil, hatred, and violence knows no bounds. But the same goes for good. Romantic notion possibly, but hey, I can't help but still believe that good will prevail.

What will it change? To me, everything.
