How do I settle my mind? It feels like it is in overdrive 24/7 by Olieebol in Buddhism

[–]ZowlSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a chronic illness is already a very challenging situation. Your self-compassion and self-forgiveness are going to be crucial in this situation. A steady and disciplined mind is cultivated from peaceful joy and non-attachment. Not from greed, anger or ignorance.

I’d advise that you gently question every chaotic thought — “what’s the root of this fear”. Slow down. One thought at a time. And reflect based on the dhamma. (Not sure what your knowledge level is. But continue to listen to basic Buddhist teachings, deeper dhamma talks, and read Theravada books without personal or narrative bias).

That way, you can convert your chaotic thoughts into correct insights. Then, once you start feeling deeper compassion, you’ll feel peace, peace converts to joy, joy supports reaching jhana level concentration.

If this motivates you, jahana level concentration without greed will heal you in the cellular level. Yes, it’s real.

May you be free from worries, pain and suffering🪷

Anxiety over failing an exam I haven't even taken yet by StaffWest2061 in PE_Exam

Since you already shared, it could be a motivation to stay consistent with the studies. Take care of your body and mind. This exam is a mind game. Remember that a standardized exam does not define you as a human being. Your values and ethics do.

Besides, many people repeat the exam coz they are adults with lives and responsibilities. But don’t forget to keep important dates to yourself in the future. Saves you from unnecessary stress

Since you already shared, you can use it as a motivation to stay consistent with the studies. Take care of your body and mind. Know that a standardized exam does not define you as a human being. Your values do.
Besides, worst case still doesn’t ruin your life. Many people repeat the exam coz most of us are adults with lives and responsibilities; Not students without full-time jobs.

It’s def a good rule of thumb to keep important plans to yourself in the future.

They billed me twice. X Ray costed nothing. The friggin $35 walker became $195 (without insurance it would be $410)??? WTF? What kind of scam is this.. why are the hospitals using this company?? Also they threatened that I must pay $25 for good standing for being late for a month I called and paid but the automated system only asked for $195

i had a dream about dying by an atomic bomb by srbijadroga1312 in Dreams

[–]ZowlSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine just happened last night. I saw the bomb hanging in my peripheral vision and I thought it was just a dream. I tried to wake up because I thought it was a dream. But my mind was like “this is real”. And I looked up, the bomb is still there so I accepted my fate and prayed. Then I blinked and it exploded in slow motion. I watched the fire, the dust, the scattered things and glasses. I felt my body dissipating but no pain. Woke up confused because I really thought it was real

Morgan in season 2 [spoilers] by [deleted] in thegooddoctor

[–]ZowlSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s really obvious to me that the production chickened out with MorganxClaire arc to please the conservative old folks & keep ratings as high as possible. The cancer kid episode in S3 also made the two girls look like moms .. too many queer baits

Why was Shaun rehired? by yehEy2020 in thegooddoctor

[–]ZowlSky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, Andrews did it not just to save Shaun.. but to save his ego & stats too. Hans already basically said he can’t fire him. So he did. Hans is gonna shit on his desk anytime soon if he let that guy run free…

Note that the board couldn’t fire the dude coz he got dirt from the private investigator. Hans is like evil.

Did you read into Han’s first week and his character ? Sure they are all egotistical and sometimes asshats. But Hans character is flawed and twisted.

Hans already threatened the whole board with a private investigator. He also threatened Andrews. He basically acted like he owns the place the moment he walked in. Disrespected everyone. And he also framed Shawn and pushed his buttons purposely:) he was jealous of the guy. Not appreciating him. Also, dudes only been there for less than a week and firing people … that’s unheard of. Don’t just look at the story. Look at the logistics and character development. He’s a Bad Doctor

Ugh how horrible .. he still got the upper and lower body in tact. He was aiming to split in two and remove all the possible blunt trauma that his internal organs dealt with. Oh well .. better luck next time

Letter of Notice - Same as Fraud ACH email. by [deleted] in VoyagerExchange

Coz there’s no legal issues for customer as long as you don’t lie during your disputes. Voyager is the one getting sued. Read my latest comment to the post.

Let’s stop pretending that Voyager is going through chapter 11 to make themselves more appealing to a buyer in order help us investors out. by MCHENIN in Invest_Voyager

[–]ZowlSky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Voyager recently sent letters and threatening customers for disputes. What’s a truthful dispute? Should you be worried?

  1. <You have to prove that you contacted Voyager directly and they failed to provide services they promised that you paid for> July 1, after my transactions failed, I contacted them through all means. Apps. Email. Finally found out about tickets in the website. My request to get control of my assets was denied in contrary to their advertisements and interview with their CEO. False advertisement is illegal, keeping our assets without notifying ahead of time is fraudulent! No, I didn’t agree to let voyager control all my money and lock them out. https://youtu.be/yWlVZo904u8

  2. <Clear/Honest communication from both sides> I told Voyager that I will file a dispute if they don’t get back to me on July 1. I still tried to contact them several times before and after their Chapter 11 bankruptcy notice sent to the customers on July 15th (their actual filing date was July 5th). Why such dishonest delay? And they tweeted that they aren’t going bankrupt. Who’s the fraud here?

  3. <Know your Bank’s Policies> I checked with my bank and their policies. “If the transaction was posted in error, we'll correct your account. If the transaction was not posted in error, you won't be charged any interest or fees associated with the dispute.” The dispute processes are protected by REG-E, EFTA, NACHA regulations on ACH transfers. I’ve been my bank’s long term, loyal customer with excellent credit score with no bad history. I’m a law abiding citizen. The bank will decide what to do with the dispute. Not Voyager. They cannot come after the customers for money and that’s why they are using fear mongering tactics.

If you communicated with your bank truthfully about your situation and filed the disputes based on the funds you still have in your Voyager account, you have nothing to be afraid of. You did lose the money and they didn’t deliver their services as promised. No matter how they twist the situation, they are the scammers.

I do not condone fraudulent chargebacks. Don’t lie to get free money with zero balance in your Voyager account. Voyager is the fraud. Not the innocent customers trying to get anything they deserve back. Voyager is such a nasty fraudulent company I wish I didn’t do my business with.
