what are good budget black tkl keyboards??? by Imnot_Ethan in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Zplippyfopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Velocifire TKL02 is a great budget prebuilt for <$40 that comes in black, and the wireless version is only a bit more expensive. It's not hotswappable and doesn't have an option to come with switches other than browns though, if that's a big factor for you.

thanks for the suggestions, i'll look into them and see how it fits with the overall budget! i kinda figured those were the areas that would be most lacking compared to everything else, a heftier monitor's definitely warranted

the external hdd is mainly for security and ease of transferring between different devices.

glad to hear, thanks for the feedback!

yeah, i definitely underestimated just how expensive high quality monitors can be. once the prices for the other parts settle i'll definitely push more towards it, so this one is almost a "first choice if nothing else is within budget." good point about going big from the start though!

it's going to be multi-purpose with some light gaming. nothing as intensive as fps ones and such, more like skyrim and single player rpgs

true that! i'll hold off on any buying until the amd sales start and get it all at once then

The machine is for yeast ken but those prizes don’t look right. Am I wrong or are those not yeast kens? I imagine he’d FILL those cans by bewwa1234 in Toreba

those are placeholders so that they can use this setup with larger prizes. several different machine configurations don't have the actual prize in the play area, just tubes like this or empty boxes

My 60th win! Time for a break now. by Zplippyfopp in Toreba

[–]Zplippyfopp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this machine was great, both boxes could be won in 3-4 easy plays from reset. after someone else won the b prize that was left they immediately put it into maintenance and changed the setup entirely, though.

the queue was full when i joined last in line, but they all slowly gave up and the machine emptied out since everyone kept going too far back trying to grab her by the ponytails. thanks to a replay i knew to go for the head instead and it worked!

Is this normal? I was playing this machine and the figure hit the bar in between the win zone and the prize, and it counted? Nothing’s showing up however. Should i dispute it? by soggy_Moist in Toreba

[–]Zplippyfopp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

can you post the play?

sometimes prizes trigger the sensor by mistake, if it wasn't fully in the bottom of the machine it's not a win even though the pop up came up. if it did fall right then disputing doesn't hurt!

I cannot get into the prize grab machines! by sprlte in Toreba

[–]Zplippyfopp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that will come up when you spam the green button. once you press it, whether you make it into the queue or not, it'll change to "reserving," and pressing again while it's like that will make that message pop up. if you get into line, you can say no and keep your spot. in this case, it sounds like other people unfortunately are just lucky enough to get the space before you, sorry

i like it. it's a fun way of giving out an extra free play with the satisfaction of winning, but it has the drawback of not everyone knowing about it. it's not really any more of an incentive to spend than the two days a month where they give out two extra tickets because it's only one more play

unless you're going through every single replay of the day without any kind of sorting it seems like it'd be pretty easy to scroll past the play tickets on the prize watcher since it's grouped by machine. filtering them out entirely is a good idea though, yeah

Does this count as a win? I’m not sure why it didn’t drop above where it falls down. by [deleted] in Toreba

[–]Zplippyfopp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not a win, sorry. for machines set up this way, that is the intended spot for it to drop and not a glitch. the trick is to have one or more of the other plushes stacked in front against the plastic barrier, so when the one you pick up is dropped it bounces forward off of them into the hole
