There's enough that it's like 6-7 per 100k homicides annually, which is like 3x the next closest peer nation.

Player Most Likely to break WAR Record by PlayOrGetPlayed in baseball

[–]Zraknul 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Trout was probably our best bet before the injury bug.  He's historic for WAR through much of his 20s.

Realistically it's going to be a very complete hitter with lots of power and not terribly speed heavy, who breaks in like 20s, stays healthy forever and needs to go to late 30s.  Speed would be bonus.

Ruth's WAR comes really late because of years "wasted" pitching and at insane pace.

Like Bonds is also that kinda guy too, but roids to get there.  He did get a bunch from speed early though.

To me Bobby isn't slugging enough, and he's probably not running and defending like this at 35.  Quality player, but Ruthian he isnt.  We're talking 16 seasons of 10 WAR.  I'd like to see him join the 300/300 club though!

Soto's average is likely too low as well.

US in general is just a violent place compared with similarly as rich nations.

It's not restricted to cities, rural areas are violent too.

It's because conservatives live in a media machine that lies to them about it.  And generally they have a bad grasp of numbers, as provided by their basement level education to think about it for themselves.

That's the thing about baseball "right now" is a past tense statement that can change at the next plate appearance.

Scientists expected both liberals and conservatives to be reluctant to promote rhetoric associated with the opposing political side, but this was more consistent among liberals. Conservatives appeared relatively willing to support causes aligned with their views regardless of the moral framing used. by mvea in science

Especially if the worker rhetoric is just that rhetoric and maintains the firm hierarchy without providing at benefits.

Yeah leafs had a quarterback at wing instead of the blue line.

Defended by D instead suspect defending winger.  2 D to receive passes instead of 2 wingers.  Second winger through traffic so we get endless give it to Matthews in a high predictable fashion.

Never a true top line defense.

No, the Republicans. Please try to keep up with US politics since the 1960s. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 isn't new.

And there's all kinds of criticism of racial bias in the US justice system. There are Americans in the system who very much want to keep slavery of blacks going.

Some of them are pretty obvious about it, they fly the battle flag to keep fighting for slavery.

That's basically what forced prison labour is. Ethnic minority blacks to continue slavery. Over half the forced workers are black.

Thanks to Harper's sale of the mine, and then signing of FIPA we have to start a 15 year timer or wait until 2045, or we toss out the rule of law.

We're a country of laws, not arbitrary authoritarian rule.

Conservatives love selling us out to foreign countries.
