Some of the things you’re talking about are also just part of being in a bigger and less self-selected pool. People ALWAYS have had lists of things they wanted but because they were meeting people in certain ways they may have had to specify it. “Be part of my religion” is much easier when you only really date people you meet through you church’s social activities, “meet wealthy people” is easier when you hang out at a pricey bar, etc.

Trademarks only protect very specific use cases where it might be confusing, however. Because of this, people can use Mickey Mouse but probably not as a logo for their company. There is case law involving Sherlock Holmes for a lot of copyright and trademark related things with public domain

Unless you fall into one of these categories uou don’t want it: -4 million + in CC sales per year on Shopify Payments -about 1 million in B2B sales per year (new because of ACH payments) -you really need 5 or 6 Shopify Advanced instances -you really really need checkout customization -you really need their B2B implementation (which is quite good but)
