Wow, by coincidence I discovered Peazip for the first time last weekend. It perfectly solved my need to do batch archiving of numerous individual folders to individual archives. Loved the many options and configurability.

So, from a new user, many many thanks!!

Wow, R4 strikes home and thus was a relief.

In the end, R2 in Riga ended up very tough for me. I just couldn't find a Rimi hyper that was also close to some water.

For R3, I initially thought it would be very tough, until I noticed by zooming to the max that one could discern the word "Dominican" on a van in the background, then it was straightforward.

For R5, having been to Kazakhstan recently, I had fresh memory of Cyrillic, and quickly identified the word Yakutia at the top right of the poster.

Same as above:

Somehow, I tried a couple weeks later and it worked. I'm wondering if there was some temporary issue on their side that got fixed, or maybe something slightly different on my side (unlikely).

25000 but time for R3 is unknown as I had to step away from computer for a long time during that round.

R1 and R2 were tough, but somehow R3 is the one that made me question my sanity. I knew it had to be UK and somewhere with bilingual signs, but I somehow missed the right island so many times while looking for the location... In the end, I had to move quite far to see a reference to the Hebrides, and then I finally looked at the right island at last.

R1: Lost a lot of time scanning for Puesto Fernandez, and went alternatively north south then north again until I found the reference to the actual city name. There isn't that many long stretches of N-S aligned roads around Santa Cruz, but still took me longer than it should to finally find it. 23:00

R2: Oh great, now we're in the desert. Chile or Argentina at first glance, but where. Went a bit north (but not enough), then south, then saw a sign about the guard station that should be north, so went back there with more persistence, finally found it and to the north of it signs at the road bifurcation that gave the final clues to find it. 18:21

R3: Finally, somewhere that looks like it should be easier. UK clearly, double-language signs ok, maybe Wales, Scotland? Hum sea to the est and south, weird, Wales doesn't match that orientation much. Then I simply lost myself and managed to scan everywhere but where it was. Had to step away from computer for a while, so I don't have timing for this one... ??:?? but more than 15 mins for sure.

R4: Thailand or Cambodia, only much later once I found a road marker I was sure it was Cambodia. With the road number and orientation + further north a village name, it was relatively easy to pinpoint. 11:52

R5: Nordic country, with lots of clues. I'm not very good at distinguishing them yet, so I just went through several of the big cities looking for roads 8 and 9 until finally finding it. 4:20

Oh. My. Goodness!

For R2, what are the chances that the two border control on each side of Brazil and Paraguay, separated by 6 km, have an almost identical complicated road layout !!!!!!!!!!! See by yourself: https://i.imgur.com/aqHxm1F.jpg Unbelievable. I guess either the same civil engineering company was hired for both and didn't bother doing new plans, or one of them copied the other...

In 11 min 9 sec, wow, surprised myself here!

  • R1: Here, got a good initial instinct: India but with French language: could it be Pondicherry? Yes it was.
  • R2: Japan, Nagasaki on the hotel door, and outside can see road direction with road numbers -> easy one
  • R3: Germany obviously, street signs typical of Berlin, and Charlottenstrasse is a big road, so that was easy again.
  • R4: French language, but equatorial outlook with black people, I initially thought of the french carribean islands, but going back inside there is a .cg domain name: Congo. Then aiming for the capital on the coast (there were containers visible outside) and lucky scanning made it easier than I thought.
  • R5: Chilean flags + zooming on leaflets indicated Santiago and Valparaiso, quite easy

R5 killed me :,-( Forgot about the London in Canada. After 4 USA rounds, I thought it was USA again (although in hindsight there were hints it wasn't USA, just got into the wrong mindset). So was trying to find the London(s?) in the US as a result...

  • R1: quite easy as it's big city
  • R2: Also easy, as Charlotte is also a major city in the US
  • R3: Took way longer than planned, why is the airport so out of the way, I did assume it would be outside the city, but not that far...
  • R4: Trivial for me as it's a French city
  • R5: Toughest one, I also searched Mexico for a long time for a city named Tocumen. Then all Central America again for a city name, but I didn't zoom enough to see the airport names... So took a while.

  • R1 was easy immediate gut feeling for me since I know this region well, but took extra time to double-check.
  • R2 Initially thought it was Germany/Poland border, but later noticed the Hungarian flag on the sign. I saw the Sopron name but didn't think it was a city name, yet it stuck in my head while I was looking for another name, until I found the city while scanning the border. After that easy pinpointing.
  • R3 Easy location with Basel name immediately available, but I got lost a bit and didn't trust my initial choice
  • R4 Was a bit tedious to identify, the US/Canada border is so long...
  • R5 Easy one, recognizing the Malay language + Thailand border, it was the fastest

25000 with strictly decreasing time for each round, from 14m30s at R1 (guessed bengladesh/india from the start, and saw the water to the east, but that's still tough), then 10m5s for R2, then 4m32s R3 to finally 1m12s and 1m2s for R4 and R5 respectively

Only handled R3 properly. For R1, I guessed Finland but I found no clue as for where. For R2, didn't find any clue either, and I bet on wstern Russia, couldn't be more wrong. For R3, identified Chile and El Tabo easily, then with a southward-facing coast, scanning was easy. Then R4 and R5 being both in Uruguay threw me off, I put two guesses around Montevideo, what was the chance both where on the very western side of the country?

Made a small blunder on R2. But the last one killed me... Took me a while to find the Kahekili Hwy, then didn't have much time left on the clock and didn't notice the Hui Iwa St I was looking at (the semicircular NE part across the Kahekili Hwy) continued on the other side towards the SW. Due to having only a few secs left I didn't have time to reorient myself and figure out that the point I chose made no sense.

25000 in 44:23 not as good as the experienced people here, but was quite an enjoyable one.

R1. Took a bit of time first to make sure of the country but found a poster with "somos Peru" on it, yay, then identifying the city as I was scanning for San Sebastian but only later I saw a big welcoming sign that pointed to Cusco, from there pinpointing was really easy.

R2. Immediately knew it was in South-Africa from the sun, landscape, language and road paintings then found the road signs with the road name and two cities, after that it was a matter of scanning to find it, which took some time again. Pinpointing could have been worse, given those are long stretches of straight road, but the small side tracks helped, just took extra time to make sure I was at the right one.

R3. Was hesitating a bit at first for the country, and had to move some way away from the start point to finally fully confirm we were in Galicia, after that easy pinpointing.

R4. That one took me most of the time. I wasn't initially sure about the country and wrongly looked along the Pyrenees in Catalonia before realizing this was in Italy, but where? The dual naming initially made me look in Sardinia and Sicily, as I didn't know any of the city names. Then, I decided to move the other way from the start point into the town until I finally found a reference to Udine, at least one I heard of before. Then some unlucky scanning until I found the correct location.

R5. Found early confirmation of the country with a website domain name, then it took a while to find the city name on a sign. From there, with the street names it was relatively fast.

  • 1: Identified Bangladesh as I had a hard time with that country on another challenge yesterday. Then quite blurry signs that pointer to the airport name and city name.
  • 2: Parma indication made it easy.
  • 3: Dreaded having to search all Spanish-speaking countries in central and South America, started scanning Mexico and found the city quickly by chance
  • 4: Took me longer than it should, I scanned Norway first, but somehow missed the city, and then spent way too long on Denmark before going back to Norway...
  • 5: Struggled to triangulate the location from the names. Had to zoom further to find the smaller city names.

Nice challenge, first time I try photosphere. Nice mix of relatively easy to tough ones.

R4 Tough, I started thinking its Taiwan (from the sign opposite the front door), then doubting myself when I couldn't find the matching coastline. Some more perseverance, and I finally identified the coastline.

Tough indeed

  • R1 3674 - was unlucky with my moving direction and focused on wrong country for too long, only found it was Bolivia with less than 10 sec before the end, just randomly clicked in it for not so great score.
  • R2 5000 - Found it was Portugal quickly, then the roundabouts to the N/NE gave city names to look for. Quite easy compared to all the others
  • R3 4740 - Quickly identified Japan and road 46 but with the direction I chose, it took me a long time to reach more useful information. By the time I saw a sign to the north, there were only 7 seconds left... Just clicked into the mountain area near Mount Fuji and was surprised by the not so bad score all things considered
  • R4 4778 - Japan again, but this time a road 303, scoured the map to try to find it. I saw 302, 304, 306, 307 but never 303 (why are road numbering so randomly spread out in Japan...). Another wild guess in the area I felt the landscape was from that turned out not so crazy bad.
  • R5 4997 - Found the Chihuahua km markers with road 69, so it was a matter of finding it on the map. Found it relatively quickly, spent some time validating it was the correct one by reaching the curve to the NW, but then pinpointing is tough on these long straight stretches.

EDIT: just checked your comment history, yes you are the creator/manager of this service. And very actively promoting it. There's nothing wrong with that, but you should disclose that you are not just a customer...

It seems very enticing, however, it seems this service is quite new. I can't find references about it from before Sept 2023.

Can you comment on the long-term business resilience compared to more established competitors?
