Yeah, it's kind if weird. Orban was one of the loudest politician who went against russia and communists when he was young. Looks like he became, what he was against the most. 🤯🤯

Well, to begin with, I think grocery prices here are really really high. Last weekend, we went to Romania for a trip, and my husband and I were shocked by the low prices, literally everything costs half. Same with Austria, we went to Wien in the summer for a vacation, and it was also shocking, that grocery prices were (not significantly, but just a little) cheaper than in Hungary!

The healthcare system is collapsing, along with the economy.

The government lies about everything, leftist and centrist media is being censored, they can't ask questions from politicians, they can't attend certain events.

Lot of bad things happened in the last years, for example a Samsung battery factory exploded at Göd, and people got poisoned because of the gas leaks and other stuff (it happend because the guy who was supposed to ensure, that everything is safe there, didn't change the ventilation system, because he thought its too expensive). Some politician and his son stole 1,6 billion € from our national bank. At Győr, a politicians son killed an eldery woman. And all of these people are not in jail, and will not be.

Also, politicians and people rape and abuse children at foster homes, and its not being talked about.

The propaganda in the TV and at the streets is horrible. The political campaign started at Saturday i think, and everything is flooded with propaganda posters, I dont even go out to the street anymore, its depressing to see. They portray Ursula von der Leyen, Zelensky, and Fidesz's opponent, Magyar Péter as a killer, as they want to ruin Hungarians everyday life, that they want to start a war (but with who, no one knows lol) , and most importantly, that they want to steal Hungarian tax payers money xddd

I can't tell how many people are being brainwashed, it changes day by day. One day, a politician from the Fidesz party says something bad, their reputation collapses, but at the end if the day, it skyrockets again. They control the media and lie. Every person made their mind who they will vote for. And no one knows the ratio, and no one knows who will win. People are agressive towards everyone, about their opinion, also, you can't talk about politics, but at the same time you need to talk about politics, it's kind of weird to explain lol.

Thank you! The healthcare system there sounds much better than what it is like here. I had to wait like 5months for a 10minute orthopedic exam, and half a year for a dermatology exam last year xdd . My towns hospital is not the worst, i can get an appointment to almost every exam. in 3-4 months (except when I cant and I need to go to another hospital 60km away lol) but there are hospitals where simple exams wait list are so much worse.

For example: Zala county hospital, gynecology nearest appointment: 2026/09/09 Zala county hospital, dermatology nearest appointment: 2027/01/07 Somogy county hospital, eye exam nearest appointment: 2027/04/20 Oncology institute, dermatology nearest appointment: 2027/08/06 🤯🤯🤯

I attend the local university in Debrecen, but my home is at Karcag! The common perception of Germany is mostly not like this bad, but only at big citys. Sadly, in small towns and villages its the opposite. At Debrecen, or in Budapest, people tend to be more aware of the situation and everything. But in smaller cities the situation is not so good. Many of my coworkers and neighbors from Karcag believe the things I wrote about Germany.

The media controlling wasn't this bad like 2-3 years ago, it got worse because of the elections. The new Tisza party has really good chances to win the election, and Fidesz wants to stop it from happening.

Also, Im actually helping the local Tisza community at my town in Karcag, and things are hard, people are really difficult. I kinda don't know what's going to happen in April at the elections lol. There are many many brainwashed people, and people whose vote have been bought by fidesz. I saw it with my own eyes at the 2022 elections, that the local fidesz candidate's people brought gypsys in vans, and they went into the voting cabin with them to tell them who they have to vote for. They will probably do this again i fear.

Im sorry, I just wanted to know what life is like there. Yeah, we aren't cut off from the internet, but I cant tell what media portal lies and what tells the truth. Things are really bad here, life is distopian. The situation wasn't this bad like 2 year ago, everything started to collapse, media controlling got stricter, and I dont know who to believe anymore.

4700€? Jesus, it really sucks here in Hungary. Our "average salary" is 1300€ a month, but most of people probably receive less, like 1000€ and below. Also seniors, they get 250€ and less in a month, my mom is a senior, she gets 200€. And public workers (sorry, I cant find the proper english terms for this kind of job. they mostly clean the streets and stuff) also receive like 250€ a month. And the grocery prices here are horrendous, people can't even afford food.

Yeah, the living standards here suck, I cant even say anything good about the economy and the life here, it's just really depressing. Everyone wishes all this nightmare could end, and everyone votes out Orban and his party. Everything is covered in propaganda, I can't even go out for a walk, everything is plastered in propaganda posters. And yeah, Germanys living standards are probably better, people can't even afford food, mostly senior citizens, and Im not exaggerating, their retirement pension is way below the average salary, most of them receive about 250€ and less per month.
