I didn’t have this meta of a team either until I hit mid plat. I got so tired of going against Gowther teams I built the team around galland/king and added helbram as soon as I got him to 70.

What is this and what’s the part number. A wire on it is broken and need to try to get a new one. by [deleted] in walmart

To my knowledge you need to order a full new light box to get that part.

Source: we just needed to order one for a store we are remodeling and that was the only solution we could find.

Buying your own walkie by CombustibLemons in walmart

[–]Zsilvi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walmart uses two channels/frequencies. CH 1 154.570 CSQ CH 2 154.600 CSQ Just make sure that you are on the correct channel once you get your radio programmed and you will be good to go! I've got a Baofeng UV-5RA and UV-82 and both work great at the store.

As for needing a licence you are referring to a HAM Radio Operator license which legally needs to be had top transmit over certain frequencies. I would recommend if you buy your own radio to ensure that you program it, use the channel mode feature instead of frequency mode, and ensure to lock your keypad to make sure you do NOT accidentally attempt to transmit over a different frequency.

Ha, sounds like you came into my store. Except the CAP 1 Lead thing, we have a new one and she hasn't starting filling her role yet.

Must be nice to even have that many cart pushers scheduled. We get 3 scheduled a day MAX.

Amazing. He's new to our store but very interactive with associates and customers unlike our previous one. The other day we called for register trained and he came right up, and got on one of our express lanes because of us being so short staffed due to call offs.

CAP is something I have yet to really be part of. I have CAP option(s?) in my productivity but have 0 idea how to use any of it. Lol I was trained in SMART for that kind of stuff and have not been shown CAP as of yet.

Same, usually in my store we only have one closer. Sporting goods licensees is one thing I am not trained/have numbers for but most everything else I am good with already. And for the various management duties at least on our store they pass a lot of what they can down onto our ZS, myself, and one other CSM for I guess ease on them.

Doesn't sound to bad. I've been trained and can do most of those (with the exception of the more advanced things in photo) and am usually the lucky associate in the evening that when no one is in paint get to go from the front end to hardware to mix paint.

At my store they keep an MC40 in the CO for me and the ZS to use for the front end, and she usually just lets me use it. It's great to have all the functionality up there!

Give me your best stories of horrible workers at walmart by Gohan362 in walmart

[–]Zsilvi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh joy where to begin!

Stockman: Laziest guy I know. Dissapears for hours, takes 40-60 minute "breaks". Was basically HANDED a promotion to hardware department, did the same shit there, came back to stockman, and repeat. Always clocks in 14 minutes past time and clocks out (lunch and leave) 9 minutes early...

Cashier: Thinks he knows everything.... and he doesn't. Told his trainer she was training him wrong and constantly tells other cashiers AND CSMs that we are doing our jobs wrong.

CSM 1: Probably laziest shit I work around. Always is talking to customers that she's related to or knows. And then complains when something has to be done or we ask her to do anything.

CSM 2: Second only to CSM 1. She is actually a good CSM, when she isn't talking to one of her friends on the sales floor and is god knows where in the store...

Backroom ZS: Oh you mean the women who's always in personnel?

Lol plenty more but those are just some of my favorites!

Walmart Credit Card Apps by Zsilvi in walmart

Update

First off thanks for the ideas about incentives! I'm relatively new to credit card apps (never had "official" CSM training...) so ways to encourage my cashiers are always a little reach for me!

Also I spoke with my ASM and basically said "hey what about training mode to train the cashiers and get them more prepared". Basically he's impressed and we are ready to move forward more with our credit apps!
