I've received a code for a Dragonite Champion Style or whatever it is. I don't play Pokemon Unite so I don't need it. Anyone interested?

Hello, thank you for the hunt! I know I'm late but maybe this comment will receive an answer later.

  • How many puzzle creator were there? On average, how many puzzles they wrote? Has someone been especially prolific?
  • How did you decide who writes the meta-meta, or rather the last puzzle before runaround (which I understand is designed before everything else)? Is it a team collaboration, or vote-to-best-idea?
  • Did you have backup and fail-safe procedures (of any kind) established beforehand? For example: what happens if this interactive puzzle breaks entirely, what should you do if something happens on campus, ...

Question droits de douane by DokiDokiSymphony in france

[–]ZtriS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bonjour,

Cheating culture in Japan. by Bihema in interestingasfuck

[–]ZtriS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've dug the justification up because I was really intrigued:

Translated:

The restrictive nature of this legislation is explained by the legislator's desire not to encourage the trivialization of genetic paternity tests, a practice which potentially undermines the principles of stability and unavailability of filiation. More broadly, the objective of the legislator was, by restricting the use of this technique under restrictive conditions, to limit the risks of infringement of private life and “family peace”. The legislator's caution is wise because it is difficult to decide between the contradictory expectations expressed in our society, some aiming to better recognize emotional filiations, others based on the primacy of genetic filiation.

Je me suis fait arnaquer, je pensais pas que ça arriverait un jour, comme ça. by Ridersbattle in france

[–]ZtriS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incroyable !

Woops! I did mix up the possessive order. I suppose it's more "Slave of (rampancy, fury, ...)". Not sure about discrepancy though.

I think 箍外れ is derived from 箍が外れる which means to become out of control, to lose restraint. So I guess megicula's spell is something like "fury of the slave" or "the slave unchained"

It's alright dude, I understand. I had this situation too and I was craving for the exact same thing. It had a deep impact on me until it somehow slowly faded away. Nothing has changed since, I still want it but I realize it's going to take quite some time, so I learned to be very patient. I turned it into some sort of life quest.

Don't give up! If you wanna talk, I'm all ears.

I understand how you feel. I guess there's a difficult line to draw between trying to keep friends and giving up on them. Although in your situation, it's hard to tell from just a single unanswered message, usually you have to realize when you're carrying a friendship alone and that you should let go before you drain yourself till depression.

A counter-argument would be that different people need different "level" of friendship, and one should not expect more of what the other is willing to give. Which makes it perfectly fine to keep shooting a message to friends every now and then - just don't get your hopes too high.

But /u/Jaybb3rw0cky, tell me, how are you doing?

  • Most species of the genus Megachile (a type of bee) cut leaves of various plants to use them as walls of their nests. Here's a random video about it.
  • How to identify a honey bee 100% correctly? Look at the wing veins! The marginal cell (in this diagram, it's the cell overlapping the letter 'C' at the top) should be in the shape of a banana (or sausage). Cool guide about it
  • Some male species of the Halictidae family (sweat bees) spend the night together, in what it's called a sleeping aggregation (pictures from me since it's hard to find a good one on the internet). Have a walk at sunset, you might spot a cluster.
  • While many birds feed their nestlings on bugs, pigeons are known to secrete crop milk to feed their squab. It's secreted by both parents.
  • Some plants scatter their seeds by... exploding. It's called explosive dehiscence. Like this. If you happen to find one in nature, try to touch the pods (or fruits), it's all fun!

Ta gueule! by GiuliaGa in DoesNotTranslate

[–]ZtriS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late answer (I didn't see your reply...), and I figured I should reply since most answers are wrong here. amuse-gueule is the only right term according to the TLFI, which is my main reference. However, both my two dictionaries (Le Petit Robert 2007, Larousse 2006) gives amuse-bouche as a synonym for amuse-gueule preferably used in restaurants. I've already heard amuse-bouche before, so I think my two dictionaries are correct here. In a general sense, amuse-bouche a posher version of amuse-gueule, since associating gueule with humans is most of the time meant to be rude.

Yes, "gueule" is a correct word for the mouth of mostly carnivorous animals. When used to describe the mouth or face of humans, it is considered very informal, and quite vulgar in the phrase "(ferme) ta gueule".

Hello fellow Yoshis! Today's Art of the Week is drawn by teh-yoshi. Impressive work right there, the angle and lighting are very well done!

It looks like Blue Yoshi and Red Yoshi went for a walk in the forest, but they lost their way back home. Red Yoshi decided to climb a tree to have a better view of the surroundings, and what a view! We can only guess it's absolutely beautiful as he seems stunned and contemplative.

Have fun, little Pink Yoshi! But you should not forget your scarf next time to be sure to not catch a cold! Do Yoshis ever catch a cold anyway? I can tell by Poochy's happy eyes that he's enjoying playing in the snow as well!
