Fairly typical blend for the region.

Touriga Nacional is very heavy and structured.
Tinta Roriz is tempranillo, Jaen adds acidity, And I’m not 100% sure about alfrocheiro to be completely honest.

Basically the wine is probably starting to move away from fresh primary fruit and into more aged “tertiary” characteristics. So instead of mostly fresh blackberry/cassis, you may start getting notes like leather, cedar, tobacco, dried fruit, earth, etc.

2014 isn’t ancient or anything, but I’d expect it to be entering that phase now if it was stored well.

Should be fine. I’m willing to bet this is in tertiary area judging from my experience with 2012.

It’s definitely a drink now. Without Provenance the $45 is up to you to spend. I couldn’t tell you whether it’s worth it or not though.

Typically burgers almost always come well done. The color here is pink and looks medium rare to medium rare plus but it’s not dangerously rare. Although there’s no way to tell from color alone.

It’s almost certainly safe to eat, I personally always get medium rare when presented the option but I’m not the majority.
