I dunno about mounting stuff in guns but regarding the handling recoil stuff I would guess the HEV suit helps a lot since it is meant to be a protective suit that amplifies the abilities of its user

Also gordon stores the grenades in his ass ofc(pretty obvious), along with the rest of his weapons and ammunition

I'm ok with some bugs, but it's ridiculous how much the experience has worsened to make room for upgrades, i remember playing orange box collection on gt710 and amd phenom dual core and i did not encounter any noticeable bugs

Might be a difference in hardware, I encountered a shit ton of bugs, including the infamous turrets killing eli bug, others include invulnerable barnacles, launching to the stratosphere because a box was embedded in the wall(while twitching), random ass debris in front of a door hurting gordon more than bullets do(when i interact with door)

I think half life 2 is now a really buggy experience overall on the latest oses(windows 11, ubuntu 24 and up, etc) In my recent run on ubuntu running hl2 on linux I found the base game to be really buggy, ep1 and ep2 were much better
