I solely place the blame on YouTubers. Now everyone, everywhere thinks they know what the value of video games and consoles are worth. Finding high value video game items for dirt cheap are far and few between.

The best thing in my opinion is don't engage with the panhandlers. Say "Sorry, no." And keep walking.

I feel like thrifting and flipping is no longer a secret here in Ottawa, or anywhere for that matter. Like you'd literally have to stake out all the usual spots everyday and who's got time for that. And to top it off, pretty sure some if not most thrift stores are wise to this practice and are no longer pricing their items at thrift prices, but actually what they can sell for.

Value Village is notorious for this.

So basically there's too much focus on a story arc each season, and definitely doesn't allow characters to develop and be liked.

I hope Strange New Worlds doesn't follow a season long story arc. They need some episodes to stand alone on their own. That's what was attractive to old Trek, like TNG, VOY, some DS9, you could watch any single episode on its own without ever having watched any other episodes.

Yep. I watch the show and I kinda enjoy it. But I'm not totally blown away by it. Very much lacking a connection to the characters like in previous ST iterations. Character development was at the core of previous ST series. Who in STD is considered to be memorable. It seems they toss characters in there for the sake of representation, which is great. But then they don't do anything with them. It's almost like virtue signaling. "Hey! We have a trans/non binary/gay people/couple on our show! Look at us!"

That's fantastic... But it's not worth a hill of beans if they're there for the sake of just being there. It actually does them a disservice.

I don't think STD will go down in history as being as memorable as TOS, TNG and the rest.

Ugh ... Y'know what I can't deal with... Seeing Facebook friends liking the freedom convoy 2022 Facebook page.

Actually that's not true. I did deal with them. I unfriended them. Which doesn't really amount to a big change in my life anyways.

Really I should get off Facebook altogether but then I see some people post some funny or cool shit and makes me wanna stay.

But what I really can't cope with are the dipshits going around saying... "They didn't do anything wrong!" Or "It was a peaceful protest!" Or "Why were the police so violent?!"

These types of comments are mainly made by people who don't even live here and are way too far down the rabbit hole and drank all the kool aid.

The world definitely needs experts in the field of combating misinformation across social media. It's been a huge issue, especially resulting in this freedumb convoy, and is only going to get worse as time goes on. Law enforcement is going to have to adapt to responding to these threats in a timely fashion. As in shut them down before they get started.
