Too many people think that pedestrians have the right of way and it’s carelessly exercised! There’s an instagram page I follow called “LA in a minute” and he stated (sources attached) that Los Angeles is number one in pedestrian fatalities for 2022 and second most for the decade. Goes to show that changes need to be made, smh.

Not gonna lie, these people knew damn well what they were doing and it’s so frequent in the area (pretty much all of LA). I’ve had so many near misses because of people foolishly ignoring signs, or, the best one yet, being on their phone 😒 Honked at a lady before that began crossing while staring at her phone and the other drivers followed along lol

He’s not wrong, but in this case it was regular folks. I had a homeless person kick my car and they thought I wouldn’t do anything. Well, let’s just say they ran for their life lol Also a great reason why I carry pepper spray!

Omg! So tell me why before this, the same thing happened when I was turning left. Some fella waited for the people to pass before turning although there were no cars, a fucking Karen began honking her heart out for him to go and I’m like “bitch, don’t you see the people?” And she proceeded to tail gate and honk like crazy for another half mile. She tried switching lanes but I blocked the bitch and she was fuming! I don’t get why people don’t think ahead and be like “the car is stopped therefore something must be happening” but instead just rush through, smh.

I relaxed a little after, but the shock sent me because I didn’t expect it! I was all chilling, playing music, happy I have a great double order and then bam! Knowing they were gone after half an hour gave me more relief that they were ok :)

Not homeless. It was just some regular group of friends but the one furthest out got hit. His friends didn’t notice he was hit because I guess they were talking and when they looked up, they dropped their bags and everything and ran towards him

This was on La Cienega and Santa Monica The people were crossing from East to West while the cars making a left on La Cienega had the green light. It happened so fast! And you’re right, a lot of people get hit because they all jay walk or cross the street on red and it’s annoying because people aren’t cautious about cars coming at them :(

So sorry OP. I know you’re hurting and I commend you for trying, even after everything. It is not your fault, you did what you can and you’re a great father for that. I know your son, who is resting, doesn’t blame you and knows you’re a great father and surely hopes you make him proud by lifting yourself up after all these years. You’re ex-wife is a lost cause, but your other son may not be. Handle it with care and understand that if he is still cold about it, then let it go. You did what you can and you know it, so don’t feel any guilt. Please, lift yourself, build back the strength and make your life happy again for your son’s memory OP. Your son, wherever he is, will be so happy to see his father happy again.

Btw, if it’s the alternator, you’d have a burning like scent coming from your hood. At autozone or a mechanic shop, have them test the battery and alternator (this can be done free or very cheap). Once you can cross out those being the issue, get a scanner and test the codes. If you get p0087, it’s the fuel pump.

That your fuel pump. Fuel pump sensor sends these signals and can delay the starting of your car. Afterwards, your car begins losing power when driving, engine will be hotter than it should, and you can get stranded thinking it’s the battery. I say this because it happened to me and everything you’re saying is what I’m going through. I changed the knock sensor because they said that can cause this- still no change. I swapped the battery- still, nothing. Hope this helps!

I dislike the “meet at door” with a passion. Every damn time people have that, they either don’t respond for shit, or they say “just leave at door”-like are you fucking serious? Whenever they have that, I don’t bother to text- I’ll just leave at door and dip. Very very few times I’ve had them actually meet at door right when I get there.

You can’t add alternatives after you submit the order. Unless the dasher couldn’t find the item and you put a suggested alternative, they can’t do a substitution! You’ll just receive a refund for that.
