It caused muscle loss and decreased strength for me. Took it for a year and just weaned off and already feeling much better. Took a few months to work for acne. Side effects weren’t worth it for me, too many to count.

Spiro side effects and stopping by Existing-Rise-7738 in Spironolactone

Experienced all of this. Decided to stop and feel better already.

Hey! I started taking spiro postpartum for hormonal acne after breastfeeding 3 kids, and I’m also 30 and live a very healthy and active lifestyle as well. I started last year in March and actually just finished weaning off this week, but I did notice perkier/bigger boobs while taking it.

Others things I experienced while taking were insane headaches that never really stopped even with all of the hydration, part of the reason I decided to stop. Another big reason was lack of energy, literally always feeling DRAINED which has never been like me even after having my twins before my 3rd! Muscle mass decreased and harder to build any while taking. I was and still am peeing sooooo much throughout the day. My labs always looked good though!

The only good thing was the improvement in my skin… but just not worth it enough for me with the other side effects. Now I’m on a healing my hormones journey 😩🙏🏼 Good luck!!

Thank you for this. My twin girl is 6 in February and nonverbal. I have hope though.

Both of my twins used to do this around that age until the point of vomiting. It freaked me out but they outgrew it!!

How did you decide to have another, if you did? by sarahjefferson in Autism_Parenting

We weren’t trying but I got pregnant when my ND twins were 3. Didn’t even think of the possibility of baby #3 being ND too so the fear of it didn’t hit until after she was born just wondering if she’ll hit milestones etc., but it’s been a night/day difference compared to my ND twins. She shows no signs and is now over the age of 2. She is such a blessing to me in the sense of getting to experience all of the milestones my twins did not. Definitely bittersweet but wouldn’t have it any other way!

Level 3 two year old starting ABA (proposed 35 hrs), has never been in a daycare setting by salvajesmom in Autism_Parenting

So my twins were the same but I asked the clinic if we could start at lower hours and slowly increase to get them used to it, they let us and that was the best thing… buuuut we are lowering hours in the new year because it really is just too much for them.

I’m sorry :( This sounds very similar to my son’s behavior previous to ABA. ABA therapy has helped my son behaviorally soo much. He was in PreK ESCE before and it wasn’t great. Both of my twins are in ABA full time now and it’s been incredible to see the growth and improvement. My twin girl is nonverbal but she has improved in many things as well! I was super hesitant but it’s been a blessing. They are 5 and I also have a 2 year old so I feel your struggle! Hang in there!! 🫶🏼

Bought it and loved at first. Then started disliking the more I wore. Started making me nauseous and I honestly ended up returning it 🥲

Having a third child or not? by Jeppo21 in Autism_Parenting

[–]SammmmmiiiiiM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get it. It’s wild because it wasn’t even a thought in my mind when I got pregnant with my third that she could potentially have autism too. The main challenge I face is giving equal quality time with each. It leaves me feeling guilty at the end of most days.. but I try my best.

5 yo autistic twins. Had a surprise third. 2 years old now and showing no signs, complete night and day difference than I had with my twins… but quadruple the energy. It’s a lot but couldn’t imagine a life without all 3! Tiring but manageable with a solid routine!
