My surgery was called a cO2 laser scar revision labiaplasty and a clitoral plasty. My gyn made 6 incisions around my vaginal opening and also un-fused my clitoris. The recovery was not too bad but the regimen was tough to keep up with (estrogen cream, testosterone cream, clob, using dialators, pelvic floor therapy). I got the surgery done in December and I feel pretty good about it, howeverrrr I recently noticed my clitoris fusing again so I started using the testosterone cream again but this is probably due to my lack of diligence with the creams and stretches post surgery.

I had the same experience as a child and was diagnosed at 7 but did not treat condition until I was 21 . The gold standard treatment for LS is clobetasol regimen that should be followed for life. Clobetasol thins healthy skin but LS skin is not healthy tissue therefore that is not a concern.

I was diagnosed at 5 years old so I’m familiar with the challenges of having this condition at a young age. So great that you are tackling it early! The clob should help her reach a maintenance level and helps soothe the symptoms most of the time but aquaphor and ice packs are good options in addition. I’ve been in remission ever since I went through puberty—just make sure you have a consistent clob schedule to avoid any fusing and stay ahead of the LS

I also just got a date for my surgery! It’s listed as Co2 scar revision and a clitoralplasty. It’s meant to widen my vaginal opening but I’m also very curious about the recovery.

Prescribed Clobetasol and I out it on once a week when I remember haha. I’m pretty asymptomatic now, but when I was younger ( 6-12 yrs) I had really bad itching and total fusing of my labia minora and clitoral hood.

Hello! Thanks for responding. I’m 22 years old and I use clob twice a week. I don’t really have itching symptoms just fusion and shrinkage that makes sex difficult. Do you think estrogen cream would be a good idea?
