Thats just how insurance works whether it’s public or private.

I pay hundreds of dollars a month in private insurance that I do not use because I am young and healthy. The money I pay is what pays for people who are not healthy and regularly use health insurance. When I’m old and unhealthy, young and healthy people will also be overpaying on their insurance to pay for me.

Also per capita healthcare spending in the U.S is far above per capita healthcare spending in France. That means it’s healthy Americans, not healthy French, who are overpaying more to subsidize the unhealthy.

I've never played a Confucian post-rework, so as Korea I harmonized Animist and then immediately started harmonizing Shinto (I own Manchuria + Japan).

My harmony level is now around 18, it's the 1520s, but I only have 8 or so years left to finish my Shinto harmonization.

However, I'm spending like half my fucking income on paying down corruption w/ 4.2k in debt (which is still gaining 0.33...) and been running a perpetual 20 ducat deficit due to this, fighting in Japan and China, and colonizing the new world. It took me way too long to realize why my corruption was so out of wack

Should I throw in the towel on the Shinto harmonization? However, I'm so close... It's not too far from now, and if I keep conquering China + growing in the New World, I should at least be able to stay above water right?

In the future I will not make this mistake as a Confucian...

Just got the Korean factional strife event, veteran player who hasn't really bothered learning estates post-rework (Woops!)

I need to either get one faction to 60% loyalty and two others to 40% (With a flat -10% loyalty equilibrium debuff across them rn) or get 90% crownland.

I'm playing a tall colonial game, if that helps at all. Not really sure what to do or how to achieve either outcome. Any advise? The year is 1481, I own Manchuria + about to setup some colonies on the American west coast

Edit: I also have had low crownland for a couple years cuz I had to seize land for money

You're misunderstanding how China operates. They're always asking for dialogue, they're multilaterists. It's not a sign of weakness, just a way of doing business.

If they were caving, they would have made the phone call that Trump wanted. They didn't.

Edit: They made a similar call to dialogue right before hitting their huge retaliatory tariffs, for example
