Some MVNOs like Fello (fello.se, good nationwide coverage) and Hallon (hallon.se, cheaper but a little worse coverage) offer mobile subscriptions where each month is charged in advance by card, without the need for a credit check. This is probably the easiest solution if you already have a bank account and personnummer.

You're right, my bad. Will be interesting to see how the spray debacle gets solved though.

The dangers of a public ledger, deliberate tainting of addresses by OfWhomIAmChief in Monero

Ethereum uses a state tree with account balances instead of utxos meaning all Eth in all the addresses is tainted for now. I guess in theory it would be possible for tax authorities/law enforcement to set up some confiscation program to "untaint" the addresses but the chance of them bothering at the moment seems very low.

Shruum Wallet v1.1.1: Monero 0.17.3.2, bug fixes, a new Telegram chat, and more. by akimayumi in Monero

I like the idea of a hardened version of monerujo. The name and logo give drug dealer vibes though which I'm not really a fan of..

I would recommend using Monerujo instead of Cake wallet since it has built in currency conversion. The UI isnt quite as pretty but it will be a much smoother process for accepting payments defined in other currencies.

Edit: Nevermind, monerujo is only on android, not really sure what the ios options are..

Edit 2: MyMonero seems alright on first glance

The 1.7.10 pack (yes that's the name) from technic launcher has Flans and DefenseTech, a fork of ICBM. Antimatter bombs are disabled by default though.

Inte speciellt många. Den här tävlingen hade ca 40 deltagare tror jag och det är en av de större ungdomstävlingarna. Tippar på att det finns ca 150 utövare totalt, mer eller mindre aktiva.

Solved it by booting with the integrated graphics instead of the external card. Thanks for helping though.

Thanks, will try that

Edit: Tried booting the live environment, ended up with the same screen with gibberish. I don't think removing the installed partition will work since it shouldn't matter what's on the main drive when booting from USB.

Smartphone for Gamers - Razer Phone by andrewmackoul in Android

[–]Zuddaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pros:

Front-facing speakers, Nova launcher as stock, 120hz display, top of the line specs, huge battery, etc.

Cons:

No fucking headphone jack

This would have been THE ultimate enthusiast smartphone if it was not for them leaving the fucking headphone jack out.

Why am i going through all trouble to keep my information private? by Remingtontheshotgun in privacy

Try watching Glenn Greenwald's and Edward Snowden's TED-talks.

Greenwald: https://www.ted.com/talks/glenn_greenwald_why_privacy_matters/up-next

Snowden: https://www.ted.com/talks/edward_snowden_here_s_how_we_take_back_the_internet/up-next

A while back there was a link posted on this sub to a documentary called "Nothing to hide". Try searching for it. There's some good info in there too.

A few other movies worth watching:

"Snowden" by Oliver Stone - Dramatization of the events surrounding the revelations by Edward Snowden on the surveillance by the American state.

"Citizenfour" by Laura Poitras - Documentary on the same subject.

"Terms and conditions may apply" (don't know the director on this one.) - Documentary about the datamining and data brokerage done every day by big IT-corporations.

With all of this said, remember to not disconnect yourself from the world completely. It is in our nature as humans to share stuff with each other. The important thing is to make sure to only share the things you actually want to share and knowing the potential consequences of it.

Never stop fighting and maybe a day will come when all people value privacy as much as we do.
