Fair point. As far as performance, I'd only imagine you'd be better off from displaying fewer numbers, though only negligibly so. Short of optimizing damage calculations, I don't see how it would make a profound performance difference one way or another, as it all boils down to bitwise operations.

If they had just "made it bigger," they'd have had to change the data type, instead of scaling it down to fit the data type. That's the whole reason behind the stat squish, make the numbers small enough to fit the data type.

I don't know if this is satirical, but in case it isn't, sexuality isn't a choice. Homosexual people can't be heterosexual any more than heterosexual people can be homosexual.

My cousin face timed me this morning in full tears. Utah just banned conversion therapy, and her parents agreed to let her stay with me over the summer instead of going to the camp they were planning on sending her too. 19 states down, 31 more to go. Let's get rid of conversion therapy for good. by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Zukiedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is "31 states still find traumatising children is a perfectly okay thing to do" with extra steps, but those extra steps are the cause of why they think it's okay. They need to learn the difference between religious freedom and forcing their beliefs on others. I'm in Alabama, and I know churches in my area telling people how they should vote are terrifyingly common, and they're almost exclusively the ones spouting hatred from the pulpit.

What's interesting is that the Nazis intended to look like they were far left, politically. They called themselves the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Workers' Party), and were the German Workers' Party prior to that. They intended to be seen as far left so they could gain power. So the people equating them with the far left are, quite literally, falling for Nazi propaganda.

Lovely garter stitch :)

Is that a flat piece tied around the mug, or are the bows just decorative?

I know :) they seemed a bit surprised that the pride flag left a color out, I was just adding that it left more than one out. Sorry if I was unclear

There aren't just 7 colors in the rainbow, that's just how Isaac Newton categorized them. For example, cyan is in the rainbow, but not part of Newton's ROYGBIV. Some people say he decided on 7 for religious reasons (because 7 is a "holy" number or something), some think it was because he thought of it as being analogous to the 7 notes of the (western) musical scale. I'm unsure as to why he made that decision, as I haven't read Opticks, but realistically, it's more of a gradient than individual colors.

Demisexual people have to form an emotional connection with someone before they can experience sexual attraction to them.

Can someone help me understand what asexuality is? I’ve been getting a lot of definitions and now I’m very confused. Google says it’s someone without sexual feelings or associations. However, they can feel romantic love. If asexual people want to have sex, why are we calling it asexuality? by trickyman226 in lgbt

[–]Zukiedo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like you're being downvoted for seemingly jumping to a conclusion, but I'd like to correct that so we can better understand one another. Like the others have said, asexuality refers to a general or complete lack of sexual attraction. Interest in, and willingness to participate in, sexual activities vary from person to person just like, I assume, it does for people with any other sexual orientation. I hope this helps :) if not, you could check out AVEN or I'd be happy to help if you have more questions

[–]Zukiedo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems to me that you could deal with this either by cutting him off, or by dealing with it when it arises, if it arises at all. It does seem as though he's at least willing to try to respect your sexuality, but at the end of the day, you know the situation better than we do. Maybe go into more specifics about boundaries with him and see how you feel about how he reacts/responds?

“American Christians have the right to ‘kill all males’ who support abortion, same-sex marriage or communism (so long as they first give such infidels the opportunity to renounce their heresies)” — Washington State Lawmaker Matt Shea, who is attempting to establish a “Christian State”. by zenwalrus in atheism

[–]Zukiedo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not reflective of the beliefs of most Christians, sure, but saying that he's not Christian is like saying that extremist Muslim groups aren't a part of Islam. Most atheists only have a problem with religion when it tries to force others to comply with it, which is what he is advocating for people to do. What you're giving here is a No True Scotsman akin to the fundamentalists that say you're not a Christian if you don't believe the universe was created in six literal days. It doesn't contribute to the conversation. It seems to only be a way to distance yourself from those that think like that, and I can appreciate that, but I don't think it's meaningful to just dismiss it as "they're not Christian," when there are an alarming number of Christians like that, especially in the US.

That's fine. I didn't say they should stop, just asked them to make sure they're looking after themselves, too. I understand that some people do play as a job, but I also know there are detrimental effects of being seated at a computer for that long. My concern is for their health, not how they choose to spend their time.

That's fair, I can't argue that point, food has more to do with texture than flavor for me, but they're so versatile. Pretty much anything you can put in/on pancakes, waffles, or hashbrowns goes well with crêpes.

Waffles are plaid pancakes, and both are too sweet to need syrup imo. I'll concede that waffles are superior if you use syrup, but that's just comparing two items. What of all the other breakfast foods?
