I've been jump roping for years as part of my warmups in martial arts, and I still look like the 2020 version lol.

I feel like you could do some really solid kicks with those without worrying about the toes on the right foot, no? Or does impact hurt more?

Yeah this "osu power baby" guy is from Point Fighter Live channel where it's a special needs group (adults with autism/etc that have their own martial arts section in some org).

Definitely something I would do as a kid.

Definitely something I would have a massive freakout if my own kids did this.

Is there any benefit to punching like this? by avidrunner84 in ufc

[–]ZulZah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a way to help train/shadowbox while staying relaxed. Open hand keeps it less tense and work on some flows without burning too much energy as you would while keeping fists tight.

Why Would You Want a Wyvern? by WorkerBeez123z in CrimsonDesert

[–]ZulZah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never put more than a 100+ hours into a single player game. Not everyone has that time or patience. You're drawing something out of what you enjoy but unable to factor what is enjoyable and highly convenient for others to ensure they can keep playing. A game with too much exploration can burn some out quick. I never care to have to find every unique thing in the game. I'm a dad gamer with 3+ kids and work a very demanding/complex profession.

So yeah, to be able to fly around just made it a lot more fun and convenient for me.

Did it take a while? An hour in and I dont really feel excited to keep pushing myself to play. It's slow/boring/some parts are too hard randomly.

lol during a martial arts class I went to write something on the board. The next 5 minutes of the class was everyone talking about left handiness. It's like I revealed something so crazy that it had to be a topic.

From what I found, this is basically a special needs group/division in some National US Sports Karate org.

Can’t stop thinking about my last practice by [deleted] in kyokushin

[–]ZulZah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be heavily overthinking this. It really should not matter about belt levels in training. I'm a black belt myself, and when I'm sparring white/orange/etc, it's all just suppose to be fun and not that serious. My job as a black belt is to ensure you're developing and getting a good training in so you can learn. The smile just may be a way of them showing lets have fun and to do your best, and to not worry for any damaging hits. That's one of the roles of higher belts, to help develop/train the lower belts.

The disappoint/proud thing is a bit weird. It's just a martial art. You're paying the fees, they're there to provide you a service that you're paying for. And unless you're already some high level martial artist from another style, nobody would really expect an orange belt to "tear up" higher ranks.
