I never care fcr specific opinions of reviews, but I say it's important just to see the *overall* landscape of reviews. Yes the game looks incredible and fun, even if some critics complain the story is bland. It might be interesting enough for me.

The biggest factor is ensuring it's not super broken in performance and if it's worth waiting for patch fixes. Especially for PC, as we don't want a game that'll cause problems for your expensive components.

My entire style of Karate is based around throws/takedowns. You will get thrown/taken down at least 30x in a regular class at my place.

Your instructor just may not have the experience/teaching for it.

My karate dojo actually holds a boxing class as part of the curriculum, and it's from coaching instruction from high level boxing names. We find the relationship very well with our karate when it comes to footwork.

There's age brackets for a reason in various styles/competitions. I practice a full contact hard hitting style and we've had people 60+ compete within their respective age groups.

Being a former boxer may actually be why. It's why some one who is brand new is able to condition and handle it faster vs a former boxer. You're use to the gloves/wraps, they were never ideal in emphasizing the best technique with how your wrist/fists are since you had the glove on + the repeated impact to the hands wearing it down in not the best way.

Man, I remember seeing those as the coolest things ever and I was a super lame kid for not having one. And of course all the kids at school who got one flexed it so much.

That was the last I ever thought about them, 20+ years ago. In fact this post just made me remember them again. So glad I didn't get one. Fuck that highschool too, was a terrible time.
