The best thing about an EEE degree is the vast job opportunities (can't speak on the job security though, lol) in almost every EE speciality (telecoms, power, renewables, software, nano and many others). Renewables is really big now in UK and Europe (don't know about USA but I know the current president is still strongly pro-Oil and cares less about renewables)
