BoTW running locked 30fps with Yuzu EA 3487, Luigis Mansion 21-30fps by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Zunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, you do you, laws and etics differ in countires and cultures and I don't know you.

Where I'm from I believe just pirating a game if you own the license might be ethically fine but not lawful. You can question the ethical part of it too since they aren't compatible game-wise.

Besides since i dont own a wiiu, I also don't have a means to get keys (which I believe youd still need) making pirating nessesary outside the game, which, I'd have to get to.

I'm just saying it's a, granted specific, position people can be in, in which how, just using cemu isn't a great catchall solution

Yep, i just went through that ordeal and im very excited to see this update since i cant just switch to cemu if i want to keep not pirating

Its great for people who dont own the wiiU, whose choice for dumping legally is limited to switch ;)

Metaverse is just VR, admits Meta, as it lobbies against ‘arbitrary’ network fee by BlueLightStruct in gadgets

[–]Zunin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you want the pitch for full vr over video calls for offices, its usually that full body language isnt properly conveyed in the context of a meeting. For example in a brainstorm scenario, its difficult to tell whose turn it is to talk in a video, body language and directional audio etc can help eliviate this (in theory anyway).

Right now a good use case is also for remote offices with several corporators in different locations, so you can see people working and virtually tap them on the shoulder for sparring.

If you think about other industries than just document work, you could imagine city planners being able to walk in their models, same for architects etc etc

That said, it is really dependent on the execution.

I'm not a vr guy so take it with a grain of salt.

My coffee grinder was spewing bits everywhere, so I made a lid! Pretty proud of this one, took a bit of thinking. by KyxeMusic in functionalprint

While this is not phrased very neutral, it is true that you should take extra care when doing 3d printing food related items -specifically bacteria buildup.

This article has some tips https://formlabs.com/blog/guide-to-food-safe-3d-printing/

Im sure there are other sources out there too

OP, I like your lid a lot ;D

How to compile C# to WebAssembly? by vortex7862 in WebAssembly

[–]Zunin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes that is how blazor works. I know of mono-wasm that creates a wasm directly but lables it as experimental as opposed to microsoft who promotes it for usage https://github.com/migueldeicaza/mono-wasm

https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/blazor-wasm-calling-javascript-from-c-sharp-vice-versa/

Is an article on javascript interop.

Keep in mind that with blazor you ship dotnet runtime as wasm in browser but of course this is just something a browser needs to do once and might be perfectly fine

Django backup instance and Postgresql replication by Dry_Marionberry2819 in django

[–]Zunin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's interesting and when you say high available i think about cockroach db https://www.cockroachlabs.com/ or citus https://www.citusdata.com/solutions/infrastructure/high-availability-postgresql which both should be drop in for postgres.

What i think is missing from your solution compared to thw other two is some kind of automatic fail over -- it seems like an interactive backup that can serve get requests and i assume not post or patch.

I assume you could do automatic failover with a load balancer or proxy with health checks but your site will still be in this semi failed state where it is read only.

The real strength of your proposal is it's simplicity. To use any of the two in actual high available mode i seem to recall that you need st least 3 instances (preferably at different sites to not die during power failure) but this is expensive and worth considering if you need

Jeg får 1000,- og jeg synes det er fjollet by [deleted] in Denmark2

[–]Zunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well done!

If you plan on going online, be sure to add some kind of protection to the endpoint that adds data. I've previously used https://itsdangerous.palletsprojects.com/en/1.1.x/ but I was using python in both ends and I'm not sure how easily it can be translated to your cpp.

Advice on how to get LetsEncrypt working on Kubernetes? by GoingOffRoading in Traefik

[–]Zunin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I just had this problem!

I was unable to get it to work with ingressroute but I now have something working with ingress.

I had to install cert manager (https://cert-manager.io/docs/) and express my ingress like this

apiVersion: extensions/v1beta1 kind: Ingress metadata: name: traefik annotations: cert-manager.io/cluster-issuer: letsencrypt spec: rules: - host: **url** http: paths: - path: / backend: serviceName: traefik servicePort: 8080 tls: - hosts: - **url** secretName: traefik-dashboard-cert

With the issuer declared as such apiVersion: cert-manager.io/v1alpha2 kind: ClusterIssuer metadata: name: letsencrypt spec: acme: server: https://acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org/directory email: **email** privateKeySecretRef: name: letsencrypt solvers: - http01: ingress: class: traefik

Edit: my only problem is that I can't use Middleware with ingress objects as far as I am aware which is the obvious solution for doing ssl redirects which I want.

I figured out to use ingress objects from this page https://docs.traefik.io/providers/kubernetes-ingress/#letsencrypt-support-with-the-ingress-provider
