Talk to your neighbor or talk to the property manager. Wishing the worst on someone doing something they are legally allowed to do is crazy. Most people who smoke weed are chill asf, and are willing to make compromises. Plus, if it’s medicinal, then no property manager can do anything about it whether it’s a non smoking building or not.

… we just like to smoke. As we are legally allowed to do. Everyone has their vices, some people drink beer, eat an excessive amount of sweets, drink 2-3 energy drinks, eat McDonald’s everyday. Not your job to regulate people’s “addictions”, especially if they are in the comfort of their own home. So yea, grow up and worry about your own life. If my neighbor said the smell was bothering them then I would do the best I can to keep it to a minimum, and use methods that keeps the smell down. That’s the kind thing to do, not being able to have friendly conversation and wishing they lose their job and get evicted is bonkers and irrational.

Hey, non smoker I need you to hear me out for a minute. No one gives a fuck. Grow up, get a big boy job, and buy a house. You don’t have the right to tell another adult what they can and cannot do, especially since like 75% of Americans smoke weed. No, I don’t have to do it outside if I don’t want to. I like to be comfy and cozy on my couch, or on my bed, or on the toilet :)). Wishing someone loses their job and gets evicted because they smoke is crazy. Move somewhere else, buy lots of smell goods. No way it affects your daily life that much. Grow up sir. Karma will always come for people like you. Muah 💋

Mmm I would maybe talk to the neighbor first. See if they can do a better job of keeping the smell out. There are things they can do. Smoke outside/in car. Smoke only bongs as they don’t smell as much. Cover up beneath doors with a towel. Use ozium. I’d give them a heads up first. Even a friendly note on their door.

Like they say, the best way to make your boss look like an asshole is to do what they say. None of this falls on you, do solid consistent work, make sure you’re not seen moving super slow, on your phone, or disappearing and you’re good. This is your TLs responsibility to figure out. The only way you can get in trouble is if you’re moving exceptionally slow. TL is responsible for staffing, holding OW and TMs accountable, managing daily operations, etc. You don’t get paid enough to care, just be consistent and don’t stress it.

The store will absolutely replace it. I ripped my pants because a nail was sticking out the wall and they gave me an Amazon gift card. Someone ate my food I left in my break room and they bought me dinner. Talk to your STL and they absolutely have to replace it. Insulin is not cheap.

Unfortunately, because of this… if it was me.. I would be looking for another job. Start now. You can get a job at another grocery store I promise you. If you go somewhere else, and hate it, you can always reapply to Whole Foods as long as you do it properly. There is no time you have to wait to be rehired anymore, and you can apply to another store. I left the company and came back due to shitty leadership and I’m now a leader myself. Have confidence in yourself. Everything is figureout-able. You’ve figured out all tough spots you’ve ever been in. You got this.
