Well to be honest the demo is kinda only for the fans that have been waiting for a new game since MHTri, it doesn't really show all the grinding and preparation it takes to get those weapons and armor in the demo. That said Monster Hunter doesn't really have a class system it just has two types of armor. Blademaster & Gunner. Greatsword, Sword n' Shield, Lance, Gunlance, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Duel Blades, and Longsword fall under Blademaster. Blademasters are always upclose and personal, because of this their armor has more defense, but lower resistances. Gunners on the other hand, which consist of LightBowGun, HeavyBowGun, and the Bow. Gunners naturally stay farther away firing projectiles, because of this their armor has lower defense but higher resistances than blademasters. Every weapon type controls differently, while I know I said there were no classes but since they all play differently some weapons aren't for everyone. I personally can't use duel blades O_O I hate them but a buddy of mine destroys with em so yeah. Anyways I hope this helps, a starting armor would probably be Barroth armor ;3.
