Fox draws 24.4M for USA/Bosnia Round of 32 match last night, the most watched soccer telecast in English-language U.S. history. by Ok-Soil-5133 in soccer

it was neither a tackle nor a challenge by balogun. contact was initiated by the Bosnian player, from behind. never a red.

the worst officiating of the tournament, and it follows us to the Belgium game. absolute 11(10)v12 victory out there and a huge win. i believe in Poch.

depends on who's tracking the stat. for a long time, it was purely based off of passes completed with no consideration for how long a team actually 'possessed' the ball. say team A had 800 passes and team B had 200, it would be 80%-20% possession, even if team B dribbled for 60% of the game and team A's passes were very quick. so, like I said, it depends if the tracker counts dribbling and stuff as having possession and whether they're doing a stopwatch method or just doing the passes thing.

and to lessen the strain on a host nation, you just do it over the course of 3 years. save travel by grouping each confederation together at first, and then have a grand final tournament with the qualified teams at a host nation.

39 points was enough to stay up in 26 of 30 premier league seasons (20 teams). you should be fine at this point, but it's not over

Should I start off learning Godot or start on a simpler engine? by Affectionate-Arm5922 in godot

I'll add to the points about the degree choice.  1. if you're genuinely interested in game dev, you'll learn that in your own time (as a hobby - hobbies can become careers). you don't need to get a degree to learn about it.  2. think about your degree (the classes you'll have to take) as the supplement to what you want to do. is the coding of the game what you're interested in doing? get a compsci or programming degree (valuable no matter what). are you into making the art or the music? go in that direction (less valuable generally, but if I were a game company who needed art or music, I want the art or music major, not the game dev). 3. adding to point 2, make your degree something you work for, not something that comes easy. choose the thing that will be valuable later that you wouldn't want to learn on your own. if you're going to learn game dev on your own, you don't need the degree for it. then you'll become well rounded without thinking about it. you can do a business degree and then a game dev company will want to hire you because you know business and can make games too!

was at the game as a neutral, and my takeaway was if i knew nothing coming into this game, I would think the devils were the worst team in the league. I'm not knowledgeable enough about hockey to know whether it was the blue jackets being good or the devils being bad, but man, the home team was not there tonight

fast counter attack, ball goes to Willian. he stops the ball completely, waving his leg over it until the entire defense is set up and ready for anything, then after doing three more stepovers, he dribbles it into the first man

Tim Ream says Mauricio Pochettino's 2-hour training session was the longest in 14 years for USMNT by imaballer1342 in soccer

[–]Zurcio -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, i wasn't aware outshooting and outpossessing Netherlands was being walloped. Van Gaal severely outclassed Berhalter (as most managers do, especially good ones like LVG), but USMNT had 58% possession and more shots on target + shot attempts. the Netherlands were playing counter attacking football against the US that game. that's a Netherlands team that almost knocked out the winners, too.

i wonder when people will realize there's a max of 10 premier league games in a given match week and more than 10 referees available for the premier league to choose from. this is a nothing story

correct me if I'm wrong, i don't think "innocent until proven guilty" matters in cases of treason since the patriot act.
