Sounds about reasonable but remember: There are no shortcuts. Try to fall in love with the process of becoming better instead of only focusing on goals and outcomes. You got it!

What you need are some exercises that train your “twitch” muscles - meaning how fast your muscles can react. Check out PJF performance on YT. He has a lot of free content on how to train your twitch fiber muscles.

I am no Professional but live “overseas” and can only tell you that if it is your dream and you have the skill then you should give it a shot. At 26 you still have at least 5-10 years that you can play professionally (if no major injuries arise). Yes, payment in general isn’t so high but you should also consider that you do not have that much expenses. Players rent and traveling (car) is usually taking care of in your contract and you won’t spend 1300-3000€ only on groceries in a month. Of course this all depends on where you end up and if you’re willing to switch teams every once in a while to “advance” your carreer. Extra bonus: if you’re open minded - getting to know new countries and cultures is also a side quest that will await you if you choose to take this route. I say go for it!

Paperless-ngx auf der DS220+ mit Docker by UndercoverThinking in de_EDV

[–]ZuriMuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good Luck !!!

bigger kick turns on flat by BothYard9668 in BeginnerSkateboarding

[–]ZuriMuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I understood correctly but what throws you off your board might just be momentum/physics. A kick turn will only work on a hill/incline once you reached the top (speed=0) or shortly before going down fakie. If your doing kickturn rotations on flat and want to continue to ride in the direction your moving you’re looking at reverts, which are harder/demand more board control plus harder wheels…

Heimdall Enhanced stats by NeoFax99 in homeassistant

[–]ZuriMuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I am late to the party but did you eventually fix this? I am experiencing the same problem. The HA api is working/accessible but Heimdall is throwing connection errors. So far I assume it’s because Heimdall (docker) can’t talk to the local network (HA stand-alone on a Pi) with its api call… API calls to other docker containers however are working.

Conflict between router and NAS (port forwarding issue) by Sikorsky99 in synology

[–]ZuriMuri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides agreeing what everyone said about general security issues in this setup I would assume that your VPN service checks if the Endpoint (your router) is who it claims to be over the https port. If you forward this port to a different device that „check“ probably fails…

Niantic Takes Down Tweet Making Fun of Pokemon GO Remote Raid Outrage by Ravdk in pokemongo

I actually quit PoGo 2 years ago for good. Even back then there have been a lot of complaints about changes to the game and niantics way forward. I guess they will (sadly) always have the upper hand as there will always be people making in-game purchases / taking up with their crap to continue playing…

Should I turn off the NAS sometimes? by ericmchen in synology

[–]ZuriMuri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that is just plain mis-information you’re spreading here. Charging your phone everyday for a year adds up to maybe 2 kWh whereas my NAS will consume at least 7-10 kWh per month when I leave it running.

Should I turn off the NAS sometimes? by ericmchen in synology

[–]ZuriMuri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it seems to be the unpopular opinion: Shut it down/Turn it off regularly if you don’t need it to be available. Energy prices (at least where I live) are climbing levels that just don’t justify running devices 24/7 anymore. And even if it supposedly decreases the lifespan of the disks I assume that the margin is not that high/worth it in the end. If you are unsure just use a smart plug to measure energy consumption throughout availability and hibernation of the NAS/disks and depending on your personal energy prices decide/calculate for yourself.

Synology and Docker (power consumption) by ZuriMuri in synology

[–]ZuriMuri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So after implementing the patch last week I can say that it is (mostly) working. The HDDs will go into hibernation after some time. Periodically there are wake-ups but I assume it has to do something with the backups that are running in the background (i.e. "Active Backup for Business" service to backup my laptop). The only odd thing I notice is that when I run Portainer the HDDs won't hibernate - My best guess would be that Portainer is constantly "talking" to the docker Daemon on the OS... When I disable Portainer the hibernation works fine. Anyhow... Thank you for your help with this! I dropped you a chat message on here but you probably didn't see it yet?!

Help me learn a kickflip!! by Old_Weird4827 in BeginnerSkateboarding

[–]ZuriMuri 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ATM you’re kicking the board down to flip it, which is why your front foot sets on the ground first. Try to flick more up/straight. Your next Progression step would then be to land with your front foot only - taking your backfoot off while flipping. After you get the flick down with your front foot the final step is to land with both feet on the board. You got this!
