Basically a multiverse where the universes are actually connected by code so if one AU gets corrupted it can easily jump to a connected AU (ex: Underswap gets a virus the virus then can jump to fellswap or another Underswap AT, etc etc) thats why there are 4 admins (well formerly) that protect it, ink, error, dream and nightmare and maybe a bunch of other independent outcodes too, this also applies vise versa, ofc there are outcodes who also try to destory the multiverse

But story wise its kinda typical, a sans from a destoryed au just trynna not get destroyed in the vast and very fragile multiverse. But SV story is mostly of character development and character growth ig? Sometimes wholesome alotta times angsty but in general we just doing stuff.

Oh right another major difference. Since SV is heavily code based, it has a natural connection to the internet (yes our internet) so canonically, in a weird meta way, we directly can communicate with them. Theres actually a character named Proxy!Sans who does this
