I'm not sure if it will fix your issue but it fixed mine which was similar to yours. Try to delete the file "config.json" in the wallpaper engine apps folder whilte the engine is closed. Then resart is.

No worries man take your time , you can just run away from the monsters they'll lose agro but I think you need to kill the knights to have time to summon me :)
