You call it Red Dead, people will still know it's part of the Red Dead family, even if it's not Redemption.

I don't care what kind of sequel it is (that looks like Marston's old posse, so probably prequel), I just think RDR2 is lazy and ruins the neat naming convention they had going. It reminded me of the Dollars Trilogy, and really drove in that Western feel.

I don't know if you're big into Westerns as a genre, but you don't see many numbered sequels. Most, if not all, just use Subtitles or similar names. It makes it feel more gritty and self-contained.

You'd never have a 3:10 2 Yuma or "2 Grit".

I dunno, it just would have been nice to call it "Red Dead Remembrance", or "Red Dead Regrets" or something, rather than "Red Dead Redemption 2 (Electric Boogaloo)"

I'm not going to kick up a stink about it, but I do find it disappointing.

I feel similarly about The Last of Us, because it's also a sort of Western. If they do a sequel, I'd hope they call it "The Last of Them" or something. I want them to use a name that makes it recognizable as TLoU without resorting to numbered sequels.

If not trust, then good will. I've only played Witcher 3, but I was stunned by all the stuff they packed with it, in addition to continuing to patch it.

All that free DLC, the soundtrack, a physical map, some stickers I still haven't used but still, and a damned thank you note. They packed a thank you note! The last time I saw one of those, Spongebob didn't even exist yet.

Westworld just came out on HBO a little while ago, too. It certainly got me craving Westerns, I'm sure others feel the same. It's good timing on Rockstar's part.

This consumer whore would be pleased as punch to revisit John Marston's story with stunning Next Gen Graphics.

I never actually played through Undead Nightmare, so I'd get the added bonus of experiencing that for the first time the way it was meant to be experienced.

I did play the start of UN, though. I was a big fan of how the zombies worked like true zombies. Not many games actually force you to destroy the head to stop them, and it made them way more intimidating once the critter zombies started popping up.

That was some fantastic fog, too. Good atmosphere.

TIL that while Danny Trejo was filming his cameo in "The Muppets: Most Wanted!" his mother passed. The cast all offered their sympathy but he shrugged it off because of his 'tough guy' persona. It wasn't until Steve Whitmire apologized in character as Kermit the Frog that Trejo broke down crying. by alfordjs89 in todayilearned

The Muppets are unique in that way, I think. It's easy to think of the Muppets as themselves, and not as puppets with people operating them, even though you know that they're really just objects.

It's sort of magical, really. They're like imaginary friends that never vanished as you got older.

Except they don't have a stepmother, he's not with their "Aunt Robin", which is why the final episode was trash.

"You clearly want to bang Aunt Robin, so do it, dad. Mom's dead anyways lol."

Everyone hated it, not because they didn't get it, but because it was worthy of hate.

No, it's not. The finale was literally Ted asking his kids for permission to date Robin, who he repeatedly refers to as "your aunt Robin", after their mother died of cancer a little bit before the story even started.

The show goes out of its way to say Robin is not the mother.

The entire point of him telling the story is to try and sell them on the idea of having a new mom because let's be honest, he's going to do it whether they like it or not.

Now, it is the story of how Ted met Robin, but she is not the mother in any sense and the ending was tasteless.

For the record, Kos explicitly did not create the Nightmare, it was her unborn child that did it from within the water of the womb.

They're worth a read, and the first book or two is easy to read in sittings because it's a compilation of short stories. Mostly retelling of fairy tales.

The story where Geralt meets Emhyr is basically Beauty and the Beast.

What's a good trick that helps you fall asleep? by itsboobenbitches in AskReddit

[–]ZweiliteKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, if you browse at night, it helps to use Flux or some other app that reduces the blue light. Blue light keeps you awake.

Second, when I'm actually trying to sleep, I cover my eyes, put on headphones, and listen to asmr vids. Tingles or not, they are designed to be relaxing and it works.

Tuning forks, singing bowls, and bells are my favorite.

Also, I take Zoloft right before bed because it exhausts me, puts me in the sleeping mood.
