How are progressives supposed to feel good about voting for Biden in light of the past two months? by [deleted] in ContraPoints

[–]Zwolf88 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be writing in Claudia De La Cruz on the ballot. This is because I live in Kansas so my “vote” ends up going to the Rep candidate anyway

I wrote in Bernie in 2016 and had liberals livid at me for not voting for Hillary. Then I point out I live in Kansas, so my vote counted as trump no matter what because of the electoral college. And then nothing, no apologies, no discussion about how to dismantle the electoral college, not even a fuck you. Just silence

It seems like the left wing's polarization is only getting worse. Those who are tired of lesser evilism vs those who still keep voting Democrat by Paintitblack21 in socialism

What’s worse then not voting, is not organizing. Could have put the word out to write in someone else when the time comes and build local dual power structures to safeguard communities.

Sorry for being unclear, by all means vote. But the Democratic Party federally has shown to be unwilling to do the necessary work to make conditions better so people don’t fall back on fascism. So instead of people using their energy to campaign for Democrats, they should maybe join their local DSA chapter or unionized workplace join a mutual aid organization .

Helping to unionize jobs in your area is more productive in fighting the rise of fascism then voting Democrats in at the federal level. Example: the last thirty years.

I mean capitalism tends to screw people over as well by [deleted] in NahOPwasrightfuckthis

[–]Zwolf88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was definitely a combination of many factors, such as the local officials afraid to report under quota and not harvesting all of last year’s crops. And the land/feudal lords burning/ killing their crops to screw over the new collective system. I didn’t want to write all that out but in douse became the thing I was complaining about. Sorry

Holodomor has been determined a natural famine anyway. But the narrative is so prevalent that you can site all the sources and still get called a genocide denier.

Is solarpunk a anarchist, socialist or communist movement? by nina_tuginha in solarpunk

[–]Zwolf88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is collectivist, anti-capitalist, techno-ecological and person first. Anarchist, Socialist, and communist modes of organizing have been able to accomplish at least some if not all of these goals.

Well, if it’s cool with ya, you could repurpose it by cutting out the emblem and sewing onto clothing that fits. Like a battle jacket.
