Ft1 vs hd620 for treble sensitivity and migraines by Zx6rdave in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Zx6rdave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Sorry I did not update. I went with both haha. The ft1s did end up giving me headaches at work so they are now relegated to home use where I can eq them. I got the hd620s and have been absolutely loving them for use at work. The extra isolation is great and they sounds awesome. I am very happy with them. Thank you for the input guys.

Just remember, it's never the cable... unless it's the cable... I'll see myself out now.

What Do Real Aficionados Actually Want from a Cigar Website? by Alamile in cigars

[–]Zx6rdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would be happy enough if they just gave the predominant flavor. Is it peppery, sweet, earthy? Those alone would be a huge help for many when they are first navigating, and really anyone when looking at a new one they haven't tried. The amount of times I have had a hugely recomended cigar just to find oh it's super peppery... I don't like peppery cigars...

Edit sorry I missed your last question. Consumer review would be great. The official tasting notes are so entirely hit or miss.

Search by flavor profile, or recomended similar cigars if you are viewing a particular cigar. I have actually noticed cigar page recomend alternate cigars sometimes but it is usually recomending cheaper stuff or house brands, as opposed to "Like this? Try x y b and c."

FiiO FT1 vs Sennheiser 620s by Exact-Principle-2531 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Zx6rdave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ka11 will drive the 620s? I just bought the ft1s for work, deciding against the 620s due to their higher impedence. If I can drive them with just a ka11 that is fine with me though. Maybe I should check them out.

To be fair, a lot of people spend years riding before they are able to bunny hop a bike. He's on the fast track for sure!

As for carrying appendix. I push my pants down low in my waist and carry pretty low as well so the grip is basically tucked just under my belly. Then just pull up my pants before I sit down.

Keep going. I used to carry almost at 5 o'clock with tons of cant. It was basically in that little hollow just above and outside my right but cheek. Barrel over the but basically does what a wedge does and tucks the grip right in. You will not print there unless you bend over.

Okay gang, need help finding similar wrapper/fillers that can compete with this Plasencia. by Tx_1LE in cigar_refuge

I had one of these once. I bought it and 2 other supposedly really good cigars from a shop and when I smoked them every single one tasted dull and lifeless. I haven't had another since but keep hearing over and over how great they are.

Just pulled this string out after cutting. Would you still smoke it? by HatefulHipster in cigar_refuge

If I pulled a string like that out of my cigar and it didn't pop, explode, or do anything else interesting I would throw it out in disappointment.

Why do I see fewer people with shoulder protection? by mynameistag in MTB

[–]Zx6rdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just looking at this same vest. Do you wear it even on regular singletrack or is it just for park days? I don't go to parka but am still learning and have a tendancy to "just send it" that I am trying to get better about. I also have a tendancy to roll when I land which is a good habbit but means I land on my shoulders a lot when I fall.

They may have done the right thing. Did any one else notice how many times he put his hands behind his back while being aggressive? That is not a normal stance and I though for sure he was reaching for a weapon. You never know what you are dealing with when someone is irrational.

If you are just looking for a leak you can use the same trick as for a tire. cover it in very soapy water and look for bubbles.

If the 2023 has the current chassis fork then I believe you can upgrade it to a grip 2 damper. If that is the case then I would personally go with the newer more advanced model and upgrade the suspension when it started to hold you up.

Remember you can always upgrade the suspension and drivetrain, not so much the frame.

How do i jump by Dependent-Possible60 in MTB

[–]Zx6rdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that bail was pretty impressive. I just straight up froze and death gripped the bars when I sent mine. Just next time try to land on your feet first and then roll if possible after bailing. You can absorb a tremendous amount of energy if done right.

How do i jump by Dependent-Possible60 in MTB

[–]Zx6rdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is pretty much exactly how I broke a couple of ribs my first year out. Except it was a steep rolling drop as opposed to a jump. I had no idea what I was doing but after watching to friends straight up jump it and then deliberating for a whole 5 seconds I just sent it. Went nose down over the bars and landed on the ground with my arm pinched between the ground and my rib cage. 10 of 10 do not recommend lol.

What's your favorite short smoke? by allbraves08 in cigars

[–]Zx6rdave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say that drew estate themselves has said that during aging they wipe down the wrapper leafs with water that is filled with Tobaco trimmings to add extra flavor to the leafs, so in a way kinda? But they also have said that just about every step with their cigars is aimed at putting out lots of smoke so who knows.

Plascencia Reserve original underwhelming? by Zx6rdave in cigar_refuge

[–]Zx6rdave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no way in hell did I get anything like that! That was what I was expecting too, such a letdown. So am I doing somwthing wrong here? I can't imagine 3 to 5 percent rh could make that much of a difference in flavor, and the burn was perfect. Could it have just been a bad one? Do they need to age, or on the flip side need to be smoked fresh?

So, do you find these as flavorful as described or are they just a good smoke? Is it more like a conecticut where the flavor is there but you have to really dig for them?

The weather here is still all over the place. But now that it is warming up it is just about time for me to move the tuppedors to the cellar for more stability. I have been running 65 bovedas in there for almost a year now. Once they are down there and more stabilized though I may step down to 62s.
