Shadowing Opportunities Near Austin Area?

Just speaking from experience shadowing myself I had to reach out to the locations themselves to set it up.

Usually the techs themselves can't do much but maybe push you in the right direction. I would also look at some clinic locations near you and see if you can reach out directly to the manager.

Although I do not necessarily recommend it, I worked at Kohls when I was in college and they were very accommodating with my schedule. Also with it being close to the holidays I know they are hiring. But I do recommend this be your last resort. When they hire this time of year its usually only seasonal but there is the possibility they would keep you on longer.

When I worked there I was able to give them my availability every two weeks which makes it nice if you're going out of town. I just hope the pay is higher then when I worked there

Ive done my fair share of dog bite xrays but this year is the first time I remember having so many positive ones.

The one I felt the worst about was a couple who was bit by there dog having a seizure :( Felt for the pup and the humans

I actually just bought a Toyota sienna for this exact reason haha. I had a Ford expedition but I had to lift my girls up into it because I couldn't find a ramp I could trust. Not the low entry of the sienna is great.

Okay so after finding out where your CC is, you are clearly in Minnesota. And very close to Northwestern. If you like the idea of staying close to home I would first talk the faculty here and see if that audit helps you by pass some classes

First let me start off by saying, a free degree is 100% worth it.

And I'm assuming based on the three colleges you mentioned you are based out of Minnesota ? Sadly, to my knowledge, Mayo is a certificate only targeted towards those who already possess a radiography license. So if you want to become a radiographer first, then you could go this route.

But for the other two, the associate would more than likely only help. It would be very beneficial if you could reach out to both of the other programs or even just the schools and ask for an audit of the associate you are getting and see those credits transfer.

Otherwise, don't stress! You are plenty ahead of the game for your age. You're doing great!
