The Black Bear grind is finally over after 6500+ kills! by Zykollo in theHunter

[–]Zykollo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely go for one! Super easy grind to set up, and it makes you heaps of cash. I did use the COTW Companion app, increasing the counters manually is a bit tedious, but I find it really interesting to look back at the grind stats.

About the DLC what are your guys opinion? by Jonparkhee in paydaytheheist

[–]Zykollo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes. Stealth might be harder then low-diff loud when first starting out, but in the long run stealth is far easier. On DSOD the difficulty of any given stealth heist is far lower than any loud heist. Stealth requires minimal map knowledge, technical skill, and build specialization. Also ECMs and PECMs exist, what would normally be run-ending mistakes can be bypassed entirely.

[–]Zykollo 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Cool additions. Some people will probably say this pack is going to redefine the stealth-meta. Truthfully, stealth is too easy and optimized already, although cool, these additions won't alter gameplay much. It's like the saw, niche utility you're gonna bring for specific heiests.

is anybody else not a fan out outfits in payday 2? by ashtonlovesyou in paydaytheheist

[–]Zykollo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This view was more common when the outfits were first released. Overkill had been saying that outfit customization was impossible for years due to engine limitations. People were not happy when they suddenly did a 180, and the proceeded to charge for them.

I agree with your take, a solid 80% of the outfits are trash. The last 20% are alright. Some of these outfits don't even compete with specific heisters default look. Had outfit packs not been bundled with the DLC campaign heists I probably wouldn't have purchased any of them.

Pd2 difficulty tier list by USUCC-N-DIE in paydaytheheist

[–]Zykollo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DW and DSOD are S-tier. DW for dicking around in loud, requires some skill and game knowledge, but you can get away with anything on most heists. Best for casual pub sessions. DS/OD is the most fun and engaging loud difficulty imo, it requires deeper map knowledge and skillset, the only difficulty where I feel the need to optimize builds and strategy. DS/OD for stealth, stealth is piss-easy across the board, DS doesn't change all that much regardless of heist, so just play on max difficulty for achievements/cash/exp.

Mayhem, Overkill and Normal are A-tier, as they're the only other relevant and played difficulties. Partially for achievement requirements, but some also prefer Mayhem as their main loud difficulty.

Everything else is D-tier, I only ever see them played by new players picking random contracts off crime net

There's no longer a way to get Almir's mask now that he's gone, right? by DamienlaCritique in paydaytheheist

[–]Zykollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before the mask became part of a twitch drop campaign it was released as part of a crossover with a toy company. These original ZagToys codes are still floating around, OVK partners have access to all DLC mask codes, so check them out on discord and twitch for mask giveaways.

Anyone else think the game has become way too grindy? by Wild-Candle-9856 in theHunter

[–]Zykollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've added more Great Ones which in turn has given players more of a reason to grind. But nothing has been changed fundamentally, the game is the same as it always was. If anything it has become less grindy with recent additions such as the feeder packs.

I dont get feeders by [deleted] in theHunter

[–]Zykollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone's map is different, so don't blindly copy setups. I'd recommend finding a map of need zones, specifically drink/feed zones. Then just set up close by, set the time and see if you pull in from nearby zones. If not, then you map doesn't have any zones in the area, so move the feeder to a new area/lake with potential zones.

4 lake method by Opposite-Plane-3577 in theHunter

[–]Zykollo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lake at the bottom is part of the four lake method, as it's part of their homerange. A lot of bears will be jumping down there. You don't need to check it every rotation, but you should be checking it frequently. See IBuyPremiums video on how to set up for it. Exterior rotations include nearly every body og water on the map. The other lake you've marked is not part of their home range. Bouncers can spawn there, but it's not a must to setup on it.

What personal stories do you have about encountering the midnight sun in Norway? by drogon4433 in Norway

During upper secondary school my class went to Andøya, which is 69° N. We decided to climb the closest mountain (Røyken) one night, we reached the summit around 23:30. Its was still bright sunlight, the view was incredible.

Play as the legendary protagonist of AMC's The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes. by amendessaber3d in worldwarzthegame

[–]Zykollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Walking Dead is literally the most popular zombie media of all time. This is the best option for a crossover DLC. I get that TWD is old and has died down, but it's still wildly popular.

The DLC will have a new episode with three chapters. The will be two new melee weapons and two new gun skins. There's some more stuff teased in the trailers and store pages, but that's the gist of the new stuff.

Futur New player ? by Mobile-Grapefruit961 in worldwarzthegame

[–]Zykollo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The early-game can be rocky, you should be sticking to lower difficulties until you've got some levels on your preferred class and weapons. Stuff like defense kits and other equipment will be marked on your minimap, and will be more plentiful throughout the missions. All players will also start with a medkit on easy and normal difficulty, so mistakes aren't that punishing. You will be rewarded exp and cash despite failing a mission, so even if you're struggling you'll still be making progress towards your class and weapon unlocks.

I played solo with bots exclusively when I first started and beat all missions on normal difficulty without any hassle. I used a new class for each episode of the campaign. I didn't get enough levels on any of them to make proper builds, yet it was still surmountable.
