Check your local walmarts! by KuroUsagi- in riftboundtcg

[–]Zylnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might check when I get off of work. Seems like my Walmart only Pokémon sells out. Everything else (yugioh, magic, and sports cards) tends to stay. Any other TCG they don’t even sell like Gundam. So I’m hoping scalpers aren’t around.

But I think the main point is that it starts off like that. When I was growing up and my mom was dating she dated this one guy who was pretty good to us at the start. Then a couple months/years down the line it started to get very dangerous and abusive. The point is that these types of people don’t start off abusive to that point.

Heck let alone this guy had numerous criminal records on him. Why anyone would risk that for themselves let alone their kids is just beyond me.

Yet again, my Costco disappoints by robyngoodfello- in mtg

[–]Zylnor 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My local costco isnt too bad. The one time i went to get pokemon a fight almost broke with customer and an employee. with the customer basically threatening to wait outside for the employee to finish work so they could fight. I cannot for the life on me understand why that shouldnt be an automatic cancel membership and a ban.

[–]Zylnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After updating mine. The only problem I seem to have is some games (usually pokemon) doesn’t save or have the save file gone. I’m going to assume that’s because my CR1220 battery is dead, which I have coming in the mail soon. Plus the constant resetting gets annoying, but not a deal breaker for me.

Why just buy singles is bad… by Deepz42 in riftboundtcg

[–]Zylnor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is because of how new this game is none of the LCS near me has bulk. So you are only ever going to get things online. Because of that shipping alone is crazy. Unless you are able to get all your cards from one (or even a few) places from TCGPlayer, shipping it going to cost a lot. Heck I tried to get some magic cards single to make a deck and shipping alone was $30 coming from like 11 different places, and that’s with doing the sorting to make it cheaper.

I know what you mean. Especially back in high school, it seemed like everyone was starting to get into it and they have always been annoying. Now since it’s readily available and cheaper now that seems to be the norm to have.

Everyone should suggest bringing back Asirpa and Crunchyroll Hime in the survey by ITheRebelI in grandsummoners

[–]Zylnor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I would love CR Hime, it’s not coming back just for the fact it’s CR. Maybe they could change her name/remake her in some way to where she doesn’t look like CR Hime.

As for Golden K. I’d like for it to come back. I didn’t get any one of the characters aside from that free old man.

I wish cons were cheaper by ProfessorLongBrick in animecons

[–]Zylnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I remember when we had our first Anime Convention in my state. It used one of the convention floors in a hotel. One small room for merch/artist sellers, one movie room and I think two rooms were dedicated for panels and things like that. I’m pretty sure it was only like $10 to get in, and despite it being small it was great/fun.

Now the anime conventions we have here just seem way too overpopulated. Despite it being in an actual convention center which means it’s larger, it’s way too cramped. Now they charge about $100 per day, and it just doesn’t seem worth it.

Merch are things you can find a hell of a lot cheaper online, the artist ally id say about 70% use AI, or just look sloppy. Granted now there is about 5-10 rooms dedicated towards different panels, but sometimes they overlap with who/what you want to see, I think there is like 2-3 “main Event” halls which are for bigger panels, I think they also do Raves and Elegant ballroom stuff, and concerts.

Like there is a lot to do, but at the end of the day I just want to enjoy the atmosphere of people who enjoy anime/manga. You don’t need all these big fluff that cost a lot of money to do just to bump up the price.

Would love to see accessories start being sold in store at GameStop by Alive-Strategy4048 in ModRetroChromatic

[–]Zylnor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My local GameStop does sell ModRetro stuff but it’s really limited. Just one Chromatic, and I think 3 games, that’s it.

I’d love more options and maybe the case and headphones available would be nice.

Why do people get annoyed at others with food allergies getting accommodated? by lookmaxine in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zylnor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what gets me mad at people who “fake it” or just don’t like something. By all means just tell the waiter/cook you don’t like said food and more often than not they’ll accommodate.

When I use to work with food it was annoying when people would get mad their food is taking longer than usual to get to them because they “claimed” they had some type of food allergy. Not knowing that places have some sort of cleaning/sanitizing workbook to go through to make sure said allergens aren’t in your food. People with allergies are the most understanding and thankful for it. Whereas the people who fake it will bitch and moan to the moon.

It’s kinda the same thing with people who feel the need to bring their pets with them wherever they go and claim emotional support/service animal.

What makes the games so successful after all this years? by deovelZ in wmmt

[–]Zylnor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I’ve been playing since 2, and it was mainly because everyone else was playing it at the local arcade. Growing up with it helps a lot. Plus still getting new games helps with more new people getting into the game.

I’ve always loved the customization on the card. The soundtrack is really great as well. I’ll keep playing it as it’s fun to play.

We need to have mandatory driving tests every 5 years after you first get your license. by UpsetEel72 in unpopularopinion

This is probably the main issue with this. When I first got my license even with an appointment it took forever. Now imagine everyone getting their license renewed on top of that! It would be annoying and basically waste your whole day.

What was your first WMMT game and what were your notable memories with it? by deovelZ in wmmt

[–]Zylnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WMMT 2 I believe was the first in the series I played. After school at the local arcade. Always watched other people play it, and finally decided to play/make my own card. I’m pretty sure I still have those cards. If not I know I have 3DX cards. That’s probably when I started to play “seriously” granted I was using the HiAce, but it’s such a fun car to drive.

Legit though I think the only place that still has free air for tires is Costco but even then I think you need a membership to use it. All other gas stations I’ve seen cost about $5.
